Follow up call to reportee by phone 04.02.00.

The witness was sitting reading in the park area near the main beach at Port Douglas, there was still reasonably light in the sky but to continue reading the witness moved under some better light , as he did so his attention was attracted to a bright light in the south-eastern sky.

The light was stationary about 35 degrees above horizon but below the cloud that was present. He described the light as very bright silver and pulsating, as it pulsated it grew in size, its shape would also change as it pulsated. The witness describes the light’s size as brighter than the planet Venus. He watched the light for about 2 minutes until it "shot away to the South really fast". He said it did this getting smaller and fading out of sight. The witness said that half an hour later he saw a similar light through the cloud moving toward the north slowly.

Although the reportee believes the first light he watched is unusual, it does seem characteristic of an observation of the planet Venus. Unfortunately I have been unable to confirm the planet’s exact position due to cloud and rain lately. Russell Boundy UFOR(FNQ)

Shape: Just a flash seen from the corner of the eye
Size: Not known
Objects: One flash of light
Colour: Jane, says it was a white light, her son says it was a orange light.
Sound: None
Duration: Aprox one second
Direction: Not sure

My son and I were lying on the floor watching T.V. on Wednesday night (2.2.2000 at7.30pm) when I saw from the corner of my eye, a flash of light through the front door, which seemed to come from the back of the house. My son at the same time said to me, "did you see that". The light was very bright, it only lasted about one second, and was a quick flash, but my dog started crying and we was to scared to go outside to take a look.

Investigator comment:
I asked if it could have been a taxi shining its light in the front door looking for a house number, but she said "no it was much brighter than a taxi light, or torch, or spot light". I asked if she though it could have been a helicopter with a search light, but she stated there was no noise. I asked if it could have been the neighbours children flashing a torch past the window, but she said the light was too bright for that. Jan Stone AUFORN QLD

John of Currumbine, WA, thirty-five kilometers to the north of Perth, was looking south-west. There was a flash and the witness noticed an unusual ‘star’ at about forty-five degrees. It moved north towards the witness, then east before resuming a northerly direction and back east before disappearing, flashing all the while. Later that night John saw an unusually dull meteor streak from north to south, parallel to the ground.

Lynn and a various number of witnesses described various phenomena over a period of 5 days. Objects that displayed red and green lights moving at steady pace were most likely plane misidentifications. Star like objects travelling at steady pace but at different speeds were most likely satellites. Though on the 4th of February Lyn and several witnesses witnessed 2 objects that appeared to them to be involved in a ‘police chase’. A star like object zig zagged thru the sky before zooming off into space, this was followed by a second star like object that performed in the same fashion. This was witnessed for approx 10-15 seconds. Doug Moffett AUFORN NSW

The witness, Peter, was looking east when he saw a bright, white, stationary light at forty-five degrees. The object then moved erratically up and down and side to side and assumed a bluish tinge with a haze around it. There appeared to be a black spot in the central area which was not well defined. The witness watched the object for about ten minutes before it faded out.

Brenda was in the kitchen on the phone to her sister, when she noticed an orange light out the window. The orange light appeared to have white undertones to it. Brenda is familiar with rescue helicopters that routinely fly over her area..this was not a helicopter. There was no sound as the object seemed to travel just above her neighbour’s roof although her two German shepherds wined at the back door. The objects appeared to be gliding above high tension wires and an aerial in the distance that the witness is not sure of in regard to it’s purpose. The duration of the sighting was approx 5 to 10 mins as it travelled from nor east to south-west. A second orange light was then seen and then a third. They travelled in a horizontal line, then stopped and formed a circle. Brenda’s Husband works at an airport so she rang him to see if could verify, but the airport is too low to have clear sight of the objects. At this point a fourth object appeared, travelling at much greater speed than the other three. The fourth object then dropped a bright light that descended at great pace, but the fourth object continued to shine just as bright. The objects then dissipated in several directions at great speed and appeared to be moving away from the witness. The objects seemed to be all the same distance away and were evenly spaced for the most part. The witness rang Williamtown Air base and was referred to 013. The variable speeds reported do not seem to fit with illuminated garbage bags also the fact that at one point before the fourth object joined the objects appeared stationary again to not fit the pattern. I will be following up with police stations and newspapers to gain further reports and information. It could be illuminated garbage bags but the differing speeds and directions are confusing to that scenario, also the witness was quite sure the objects moved away from her rather that just going out. The time of the sighting was between 8.30 and 9.00 pm. Doug Moffett AUFORN NSW

The witness saw a zig zagging light for about 1 hour. The object was red and green and was alternatating between flashing and glowing. He object appeared bigger than the stars and was hardly moving at times and seemed to be hovering with pronounced eratic movements. The witness called two other friends who witnessed the object also from Swansea in Newcastle and Cessnock West of Newcastle. The single object was not like a plane&Mac226;s colours and was cylindrical in shape like a 44 gallon drum.

Other descriptions of the object were; saucer shape; circular; concave top; lights moving around a form. Movement was top to r/h/s to bottom and back. Object was above tree tops by about 12 to 15 feetand at one stage was still for 15 mins while pulsating different colours. A local newsagent took Photo’s of the object that appeared about 9.30pm. The length of the sighting seemed to be hard to ascertain. Venus would seem a prime suspect if the duration was of several hours, which at times the witness suggested it was. Doug Moffett AUFORN NSW

Anita said she stepped out on to her veranda and noticed 3 orange lights in a triangle formation stationary in the sky. While she watched one light moved away from the other 2 then another moved away, the third stayed, then another joined it then they both disappeared. After a moment a fifth appeared about a km away from the first. This one was so shinny and she could see 2 orange balls underneath the bright light, it to moved away to the east in the direction of the moon over Brisbane. Anita said she observed a plane fly over the top of one of the orange balls, she also noticed a plane appeared to be flowing one. Diane Harrison AUFORN

The witness would not leave his telephone number, name or address, but insists he saw something very unusual. Two red/orange balls of light (OBOLs) glowing like hot coals were seen to the south west over the ocean. The leading sphere stopped, allowing the other to catch up. It did not catch up by travelling in a straight line, but zigzagged left and right in a very erratic manner. The two spheres remained stationary together for a while before moving away to the south-west and at the same time rising up into the night sky, increasing speed until they appeared as two star-like dots before disappearing altogether.

Shape: Like a star
Size: Like a star
Objects Possible satellite:
Colour: Same as a star
Sound: None
Duration: About the same as a satellite
Direction: Three of them was north to South West, the faster one was
North to South..
Witnesses: Mr C

Mr C lives on Stradbroke Island and on Saturday night between 7.30pm-8pm he saw four lights in the sky. They were not traveling together, but came over one at a time over the half hour period.. He thought they could have been a satellite, but then though that four satellites in half hour period was a bit strange. He said one satellite was three times faster than the others.

CONCLUSION:
After a discussion with Diane, We think it’s possible that Mr C has seen possibly three satellites and the Space Shuttle that is mapping the world at the moment. Jan Stone AUFORN QLD

Shape: Orb/ball
Colour: Orange
Objects: 1
Sound: Nil
Duration: 5 mins
Time: 1.15am
Direction: East to West - low altitude
Night Sky: Clear with high wispy clouds
Witnesses: Sharon, her husband and 2 [older]children

Sharon, with her husband and children were returning from her brother’s 50th birthday and arrived home at 1.15am. Whilst getting out of the car in their driveway she happen to glance up at the night sky and saw a orange orb/ball shaped object. She told her husband, who also then looked up and saw the same object. Sharon has 2 older children who were with her at the time, also saw the same object.

They stood and watched it travel slowly from East to West, this took approx. 5 mins. During that time, one of her older children raced inside to obtain one of the younger children’s binocular. Even though, the binoculars were basically ‘toy’ ones, her husband used them and said that he faintly saw a tail at the end of the orange orb/ball.

As they watched it, it passed ‘underneath’ the wispy clouds that were in the night sky, thereby giving them a good indication that this object was not as high up as a satellite would be. Upon discussion with her husband and children she ruled out, the following: a meteorite and a plane, [as she stated to me: " at 1.15am in Adelaide, there are certainly no planes flying, plus where I live the planes flight paths never come that way"].
