Observation: Driving south down Monaro highway in canberra about quarter to 11 on the way home from work, when in the sky above my car I saw a large white diamond of light zoom past at high speed. much too fast to be a jet and no noise at all. very intense white light the shape of a kite with rounded corners, and softer light at the edges. flying about cloud height. light up nearby clouds.
Description: Very bright white kite-shaped light traveling at high speed at cloud height. lit up nearby clouds, rounded corners, light weaker at edges. no noise. Location: Monaro highway adjacent to the suburb ChisholmApparent Size: Dinner Plate - Actual Size: hard to tell it was moving so fast, probably about the size of a plane.Altitude: cloud height. - Object Origin: went from north-south roughly - Object Destination: south. light just faded or disappeared behind cloud. - Planets Visible: stars were visible when not obscured by cloud - Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Cloudy, Calm, frosty night. Observation: My girlfriend,niece and myself were sitting outside on the verandah when a oval shaped object travelled across the eastern sky heading south to north it had no flashing lights no erratic movement just going at very high speed on a steady course with no apparent change to speed or altitude. Bottom half was all soft reflective light. There wasn't any windows or lights visible other than the soft underneath glow,It seemed to be metallic and reflective. It had a orange/pinkish light glow underneath, but it seemed to be reflected light. Two witnesses sitting together saw it in that colour.Other witness described it as pale blue/white reflection. The weather was overcast with full cloud cover. This object was below the cloud layer fully visible. Description: Oval shaped. Straight Movement from south to north.Kept same altitude, or seemed to - No Sound at all - Light seemed to be reflected from the ground back off of it. Other Witnesses: Other residents of house, all contact-able on the same phone number - Apparent Size Other: about 5-cm long and about 1.5 cm in depth - Actual Size: impossible to tell nothing to gauge it against, at a guess we think it was about the size of a midsize passenger jet - Altitude: About 200 to 300m high once again hard to gauge because of no comparisons Object Origin: Only noticed it out in the east and watched it travel towards the north from the south - Object Destination: Northern sky Weather Visibility: Clear, some Cloud, Calm Effects Physical: No just a feeling of amazement that we had seen something that wasn't from earth that we know of as we had never seen anything like it ever,and may never see one again in our lifetimes. Effects Psychological: No just frustration that no one believes what you've seen,we definitely believe it and we were all sober and unaffected by drugs or alcohol. Description: I was not sleeping (I work at night from home and it's not unusual for me to be up at this hour anyway) and I was not groggy, but looking for my cat. For some reason, I looked up into the sky and saw this object moving slowly northwards. I could not see any blinking lights and there wouldn't have been any planes about at that time anyway, nor could I hear any sound. I noticed it was moving towards a very bright star. I opened the screen door for a better look and figured it was also moving quite slowly. Still not believing what I was seeing, I averted my eyes to call my cat and within 20 seconds or so, looked back up and it had completely disappeared. I stood there for another five minutes trying to figure out where it could have gone, but it was a clear night TV/Radio: Nil Observation: Got off the train, it had just become dark about 30 minutes ago. I walked accross the tracks to the road. I looked up and saw a large object, like a giant star in appearance. Description: It was moving, and seemed to close to be a star, and too big for a plane. A big ball of white light. It was moving accross my eye vision. Not rapidly, for about 20 seconds. Then I started to walk on the road so the trees didn't block my vision. It changed direction to move away into the distance. Within 2 seconds it changed directions and quickly gathered speed, in 3 seconds all of a sudden it rocketed away into a smaller dot and then tiny speck, and then disappeared (all within a few seconds). I noted to myself there are no clouds so it couldn't have gone behind a cloud. I am amazed. No sound whatsoever. Location: Got off from Leawarra train station, walking up Hill Street Frankston. The object seemed about 1km in front of me, and 2-3km in the sky. Other Witnesses: I was alone, but a car drove past me as I was walking up the road. Apparent Size: Slightly bigger than pea sized Actual Size: The length of a plane, but not width. It was fat like half a football field in shape. Altitude: 2-3 km's - Object Origin: I was walking East/South East the object came from my left from the North/North East. Object Destination: The object changed direction and took off toward my walking path the East/Sotuh East. It did not go 'up' it went forward. Much much much faster than anything I've ever seen. - Moon Visible: Couldn't notice a moon - Moon Size Comparison: Less than a quarter the size of it. Planets Visible: Yes, most noticbly, the object went right under Alpha Centauri. Very clear night lots of stars and freezing cold. Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Calm - Viewing Aids: Naked Eye Effects Physical: No that I know of yet. Effects Psychological: Ye rushed home and called dad right away to tell. Really kind of excited mixed with arousal and freaking out. Effects Other: Well not really. But I called my dad right away. He said he did see a UFO once a few years ago, with his friend also. He said what I explained I saw was exactly like the experience he had. Observation: At around 18:43 on the 22nd of August, an orange light, slightly larger (visually)to the brightest star in the Eastern sky, flew from North-West to South-East over the town of Harden, NSW. The light flew at a low altitude, similar to that of a light aircraft approaching a landing strip. No strobe lights observed and no sound emitted whatsoever. Light did not follow the usual flight paths, and seemed to fluctuate in speed- flying in a slightly sinuous flight path. Light seemed to fly in an extremely minute zigzagging fashion. The light flew towards the South-East in the direction of Canberra. The light diminished to the size of a small star then suddenly disappeared. Aircraft following the usual flight paths were observed within five minutes of the sightings- lights on those aircraft were not like the one observed. Description: The movement was peculiar as the light seemed to fluctuate in speed- seemingly appearing to stop, than fly in a short, sharp sinuous motion before disappearing. There was no sound at all. Location: Harden-Murrumburrah, New South Wales. Other Witnesses: Not aware of any. - Apparent Size: Star - Actual Size: Maybe around the size of a helicopter. - Altitude: Maybe 800-1000 metres. Object Origin: North-West. - Object Destination: South-East. Planets Visible: Yes. I used these as a bearing point and observed what may have been a planet at 80 degrees in the North-Eastern sky- the object was one and a half times the size of this star. - Weather Visibility: Clear. Observation: This is second time the first time was 19th August and tonight Friday 29 August. There was at first 2 orange balls then they and then 4 more. I took a 1 photo they lasted 20 minutes. Description: No sounds they were very bright orange in colour, ball shape and they just moved like floating on water. - Location: in my front yard Dandenong Victoria - Apparent Size: Tennis Ball - Actual Size: small plane Altitude: 5 to 20 km - Object Origin: left side and go way to right side Object Destination: right side - Moon Visible: no moon but I saw some stars - Moon Size Comparison: half size there was 6 object. Planets Visible: yes - Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Cloudy, Calm Effects Other Witnesses: emotional. Old but NEW UFO Sightings received: more to be posted please call back.
