Observation: This morning on my Way to work at around 7am, while I was approaching Avalon Airport, I noticed a Jetstar Flight taking off and heading Northwards, as the plane was at about 400 meters altitude, I noticed off in the distance directly in front of me, and orange Object, which I estimated it to be on the opposite side of Melbourne to me approximately 200-300 kms away.

At first I thought it was a Plane's Contrail off in the distance as the Sun was rising at the time and the object looked elongated. I kept watching this object while driving until about 15 minutes later, it dimmed in brightness until you couldn't see it, in the matter of about 2 seconds. A few minutes later, I noticed directly in front of me a very similar Object at about the same distance as when first spotted. This time the object was a little lower in the sky, but still well above the Horizon. The next thing I know, the object starts to move to the right in the sky, in a horizontal direction for about a minute slowly, then rises up in the sky to the height that I saw the first Object, It stayed in this position until I was approaching Hoppers Crossing until it dimmed in brightness again until it could not be seen again.

When I finally got off the Geelong Freeway at the Fitzgerald Rd Exit in Laverton/Altona I noticed the object again, but this time closer, but Higher in the Sky again, almost like it was directly over the northern Suburbs of Melbourne, this sighting only lasted about 10 seconds and once again the object just dimmed in brightness and disappeared altogether. I don't believe this to be a planet because I could still see it clearly even after the sun had been over the horizon for about 5-10 minutes.

Description:The first time I spotted the object, it had a look like it was a plane's contrail way off in the distance, small and elongated. the second time it was more a small Orange light off in the distance, the closer I got, the more it seemed to be elongated, I don't want to say this, but yes, a saucer shape, but on a 45 degree angle, the third time that I saw the object, it was just a small orange dot in the sky.

Location: First Sighting on Geelong Freeway just before Avalon Airport heading towards Melbourne. Second Sighting was around the Little River Interchange on the Geelong Freeway, Melbourne Bound. Third Sighting was at the corner of Kororoit Creek Road and Fitzgerald Road in Laverton/Altona.

Other Witnesses: Was by myself in Vehicle - Apparent Size: Elongated at first, then Star Size, then Pea size - Actual Size: I estimate the object to be around and this is a rough guess because of the distance, but approximately 20-30 meters - Altitude: 1-2 Kilometers in the air. - Object Origin: Stationary at first, when it reappeared, i would say that - it headed in a South Easterly Direction, but to me it was Easterly. - Object Destination: It disappeared Stationary. - Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Sunny, Windy - Weather Comments: There were no clouds between me and the Object, but on the Horizon there were some rain clouds.

Observation: Spotted a '2 piece' silver disc when I was driving up 15th Street Mildura, over the Centro Shopping Complex, I would have been 300 metres away

Description: It was hovering above Centro, then shot off at great speed, so fast it disappeared from sight within seconds, and it was slightly foggy that morning, it had actually disturbed the fog with its 'wake'.

Location: 15th street, driving towards Deakin Ave - Actual Size: Going from where it was compared to the building, it would have easily been the size of a small bus Altitude: roughly 20 stories - Object Origin: Didnt see where it came from - Object Destination: Flew south, towards Ouyen - Weather Visibility: Foggy, Cold,Sunny, Calm.

Description: We were travelling south along McGregor Road, Pakenham, when noticed
3 LARGE ROUND,BRILLIANTLY LIT (red/orange color), FLYING OBJECTS coming from the east behind homes. Then there was four, then five. We pulled over to observe,then six and seven appeared. All were exactly the same size, color, and distance apart, travelling in formation, high, in an arc, across the sky to the north west. We watched,with amazement, for approximately 15 minutes before heading home on the freeway back to Berwick.

My husband kept watch whilst I drove, and we suddenly lost sight of them.

I have contacted the Air Force to check for any training being held by them in the area and they confirmed there was nothing. Also contacted a Melbourne Hot air balloon company and they confirmed they don't fly at night nor would they look like our description. I then made a report to Air Service Australia, after speaking to Moorabbin Airport, who have given me a serial number and will be intouch with me soon with any findings.

Not sure who cares or if it is important / of interest to anyone. I looked on the net to report it but your site was the only one that appeared.

At approx 9.10PM Melbourne Victorian time Saturday 3/5/2008 I was walking in Glen Waverley and sighted a glowing Orange object streaking accross the sky in an West to East direction. To my eye the object looked the size of a Golf Ball and had an Orange tapering tail approx 10 inches in length. I observed it for approx 15 seconds and dissappeared around what may be in Tullamarine direction.

Hope this information might interest someone.

I actually have observed a UFO in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea some time ago which was really strange. If you are interested I could give the details from memory. [I have written to the witness for details of the Papua New Guinea sighting]

Observation: Hi there,
My partner,son and I were watching tv as our balcony faces towards the Sutherland shire. My parter notice a falling star as we call them, and moments later she said to me i will make a wish. Not long after that she brought me to the atention that it look like a bright star. But this was flashing red, green white and blue. This was intense flashing and was large. And this falling star fall she claims 90 to 0 and the same spot and where the falling star stoped was were we saw the flashing lights. It sat about 30 degree`s from our 7 storey unit and was about 1-2 km`s above the ground. Around the same height that the planes fly when approaching the Sydney airport. There were no planes flying that night which was 24/05/08 10.30 pm Clear night, no wind, one of the coldest nights so far. Stars we could see them and we could not the moon. I think the moon was behind us at the time. I didn’t have a good camera at the time. And the battery`s were near flat at the time. We had a pair of basic binoculars. As these gave more detail to what we saw. Observation at the time the object had a white light in the middle with 7 other lights in a semi circle that sat if your looking at a clock sat from 2pm to 8pm underneath the white light of these seven lights it seemed to have a solid back ground from it, and a red light on top which sat around 11pm if you looking at a clock. The white light was present at all the time in view of the binoculars and the light lights around the white light flashed green red blue. But the naked eye it looked like a bright star flashing all these colors. This move SE.

I would saw this around Cronulla or further down and this it look like this slowly fell further away we could just see just white and red light unit we could not see this at all. During this time I called my cousin of mind, cause around 6 weeks ago him and he`s wife saw these weird lights and caught this on camera at Narellan. To this similar sighting. Would like to know if any one else saw this ? cause this was in the sky from
about 10.30pm to about 11.53pm. And is not that Star or planet that flashing these last few nights. Would like to know what it was ? If this space of air space was used by anyone else ? Thanks for your time.

Description: no unusual movements or changes in shape or sound. Location: We were at the above address nearest is Penshurst. Apparent Size: Star. Actual Size: Shaped seem to be round Size maybe like 3 large cars stacked on top of each other. Altitude: As high as the planes that fly into Sydney aiport when landing and around the cronulla region. Object Origin: We cant confirm that the falling star was apart of this. But before the falling star you would think that we would notice this flashing light before hand. Object Destination: This headed South east approx, atitude seemed to be consistant.

Moon Visible: we could not see the moon from where we were this was behind of us in view. Moon Size Comparison: Moon O object. Planets Visible: Yes we could see other planet's visible this happen not far from the southern cross. Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Calm. Viewing Aids: binoculars.

It was 10.00 p.m I was sitting on the balcony of the unit we were staying in McCloud Street Cairns north QLD I was looking south westerly direction when I saw what appeared to be a small cloud heading across the sky. It was a dark night a stormy nightbut not storming at the time. The cloud was heading in a south westerly direction totally no where near the way way the clouds were traveling, it was very very small and traveling a lot more quickly, so it wasn't really a cloud. I lost sight of it because of a building it disappeared behind this building way of in the distance.

Then one minute later while I sitting there wondering what this thing could have been another one appeared precisely in the same place traveling in he same direction and I watched it for for 6 or 7 seconds then it disappeared out a view behind this other building and that was it.

I was telling my son who live sin Cairns the next day when he rang me from work to tell me the guys at his work were talking about a sighting at Gordonvale which he thought might be in the same direction I was looking.

Observation: I took my dog to the beach on Sunday at around lunchtime (12.00) and i was throwing a ball for him when something caught my eye, I looked up and was trying to make out this shape and at first thought it must have been two helicopters flying side by side (and they just looked very close because it was from a distance) then the object moved around and I could clearly see that it was not two helicopters flying side by side, I was looking at it for about 15min and still have no idea what it was exactly apart from some type of unidentified flying object, to try and describe it it looked like to balls that were connected in the middle by a strip of metal. And it was silver when it was moving around the sun caught on it and made an amazing bright light, almost blinding so it must have been quite shiny material it was made out of. I watched it for about 15min before it went off into the distance and as I was the only one on the beach I assume I was the only one who saw it - (besides my dog Frankie, who started running around huffing (like when he sees a cat)!

Description: No I noticed a slight humming sound, but the craft was moving very slowly, so I got a good look at it and it defiantly wasnt a plane or a helicopter or a jet!. Location: Woodmans Point, Munster. Western Australia Other Witnesses: I was the only one on the beach apart from my dog Frankie, when he sensed it he started huffing and kicking up sand everywhere (like what he does when he sees a cat). Apparent Size: Pea-Sized. Altitude: 20 storey building maybe a bit higher. Object Origin: north to west. Object Destination: west. Weather Visibility: Clear. Weather Temp: Cold.

Shape of objects: Shaped like a brighter Star has flashing red,green/blue and white lights, appear then seem to accellerate lights, then dissappear and then reappear in different location usually in the west, lights continue to flash, move over 20 minute periods to different location also seen in the Gladstone Tannum Sands area. Weather Conditions: clear skies.

Description: Light appeared over the horizon at about 1.00 a.m and slowly moved up in the sky (I thought it was a chopper or such craft) sat in the sky for a period of 20 minutes then slowly dissappeared back to the south west. Following nights lights have been appearing towards the west of Moura, move to different locations by dissapearing after lights accellerate and flash. Regular appearances, also appeared high in the sky to the west at 4.00 a.m and then slowly drop down towards the west. They are easily identified as they are brighter and flash fairly constantly. They have been appearing over several weeks todate Three persons have seen lights and believes to be UFO's.

I saw a large brilliant white light on the right hand ridgeline of Mount Ainslie, assuming it to be a car ascending the mountain, but then it appeared to be proceeding south to north over Campbell at a very low altitude at half the level of the summit.

While I was unsuccessfully trying to interest several others, it had vanished when I looked back at its previous location.

Observation: I was standing on my front verandah whilst my dogs were having a wee and I notice two stars that were twinkling on and off. I thought it was strange as when they were on it was a strong flash but when they were off it was pitch black. They twinkled at opposite times. I looked to see if it was passing clouds covering them but it wasn't as they were under the patchy cloud. Then I made a point of reference to see if
they were moving. They were, sometimes they were close, sometimes they were far apart, sometimes they were above each other and sometimes one overtook the other. They looked like they were playing.

When I first saw them they were over the ocean and not very high up, if I had to estimate a height I would say 100m. Then as I watched them play they kept the same height but moved north, then they moved over a small flat ridge top which extends from west to east that is about 1km north of my house. I actually climbed up on the roof ( i have a flat deck top up there)to get a better view. They were very close to the top of the ridge and almost played along the top just over a couple of houses that are up on the ridge. I kept watching them play with each other moving east until I could not see them anymore. There was minimal wind, and it was not raining. I think it was about 6mins in total time I watched them. The flashes were white. When they went out of sight I phone a friend who lives over in that direction but she couldn;t see anything. There are many more lights in her suburb compered to my small beachside suburb.

Description: no sound their movement was multi directional and their speeds varied from a medium speed to fast their direction changes were sometimes cruisey and sometimes abrupt.

Location: about 5 streets back from the beach at Maslin Beach, South Australia. Other Witnesses: just me and the dogs unfortunately. Apparent Size: Star. Actual Size: difficult to say as I don't know how much of the flashing light was them and how much was their light source. But I would say they were fairly small as they were just above the ridge. Altitude: about 100m not sure but low. Object Origin: they were playing in the west when I first saw them and they were in th elower part of the sky.

Object Destination: moved to the north and then to the east. Moon Visible: moon was behind my house to the east but had cloud covering it I was at the front of my house facing the ocean. Moon Size Comparison: they were not near the monn so I could not compere Planets Visible: yes I could many stars but they were not playing like these 2. Weather Visibility: Clear, Mild, Cloudy, Calm. Viewing Aids: no just my eyes.

I have researched UFOLOGY and read extensively over the past 25yrs but have
never seen anything first hand I guess this is my first sighting

Observation: I was walking in the reserve park adjacent to Monash Freeway, when I noticed a bright yellowish-orange light rising over Endeavour Hills area. It seemed to rise from behind the land mass and then it seemed to get bigger and bigger. It was coming in my direction. It proceeded in the same direction for about 45 seconds and then suddenly the light went out . Nothing happened after that. There was no sound. The
light never came back. I just want to know what it was. Has anyone else seen the same?

Description: No unusual movements . I couldn't hear any sound as the sound of the vehicles on the freeway might have been louder. Also the light didn't flicker as it would have if it was a plane, or a hot air balloon. There weren't any other lights either.

Location: In the reserve park between the Monash Freeway and the junction between Heatherton Road and Stud Road intersection, Dandenong North. Apparent Size: Tennis Ball Actual Size: The light was about the size of almost a tennis ball. Altitude: The light was more than ten stories high. Higher than the occasional helicopter with a search light.
Object Origin: The object appeared from South East. Object Destination: Disappeared before it reached my position. But was still coming from South East towards North West when it disappeared. Moon Visible: No the moon wasn't visible yet. Moon Size Comparison: It was about 1/20 the size of the present moon. Planets Visible: yes there were a lot of stars visible. Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Calm. Effects Other: Yes. A helicopter appeared around half an hour after the lights disappeared and circled in the spot where they had disappeared. There were no search lights on the helicopter which was unusual because everytime a helicopter appears in this part of the town at night, it comes with a search light.

Observation: I was driving home from work along Malabar Road. I saw a bright blue light above me in the blue sky. It moved across the sky at great speed and then disappeared.

Description: It was extremely bright even in the blue sky. It moved at incredible speed to the North away from me.

Location: Malabar Road in Maroubra Sydney.
Apparent Size: Dinner Plate Actual Size: Helicopter size. Altitude: Approximately the same height a helicopter flies at. Object Origin: The sky above to the North.
Object Destination: It moved rapidly to the North then disappeared. Moon Visible: No it was daytime. Moon Size Comparison: About 1/10th. Weather Visibility: Clear, Sunny Viewing Aids: No. Effects Physical: No , apart from surprise.

Observation: I just wrote to you to report the movement of this 'star' Please read my previous report. Then I went outside and it has moved back to the area it was 2 nights ago and moving alot. I want you to know that earlier there was a storm out east but the area was clear of cloud. now, the clouds have moved to the area of the strange 'star' and no other stars can be seen around there. But THIS star is very visible, big and bright again like 2 nights ago and moving a lot.

Description: It is now much brighter and bigger, closer. It is moving alot.

Object Origin: Tonight I first saw it closer to the horizon, east north east, now
it is in the same spot as the other night, nearby but in a different spot. I have to
