Witness: Mr. Jason P
Number of witnesses present: 1 Tammy
Sighting Duration: 2 minutes
Occupation: Cashier.

Observation: I noticed a orange light to the east of us. I thought it was a shooting star, but it was larger. When it didn't burn out, I called my wife over. We both witnessed the light accelerate quite quickly then move left to right a couple of times. It then slowed down as it passed over roof. After it had passed over our roof it came to a stand still and just hovered there. After about at least 10 seconds it took off slowly to the north west direction until we couldn't see or its light went out. During the whole time, there was no sound coming from the light. - Description: Just a orange light, no sound, it did make a couple of small fast left to right turns. -

Location: Alice Springs, NT Australia - Apparent Size: Tennis Ball - Actual Size: Sorry, I couldn't even guess. 20 feet diameter seems to small and fifty feet seems to large. - Altitude: Closer than that of a shooting star burning out. - Object Origin: East. - Object Destination: North-westerly - Moon Visible: The moon was not visable, however there was patchy cloud cover all night and I saw the light when there was no cloud and could see the stars. - Moon Size Comparison: N/A - Planets Visible: Yes. Not sure what they are called. - Weather Comments: Patchy cloud. It did rain and wind a bit afterwards.
