Witness: Mr. John
Number of witnesses present: 1
Sighting Duration: Approximately 2 mins
Occupation: Student.

Observation: Returning home from work, it would have been approximately 8:15 that I started to ascend up through the Dandenong ranges. As I was driving up the mountain an orange light, a little bigger than a star, but an incredibly vivid and bright orange in colour caught my attention through the corner of my eye. I slowed down to about 30km/h to try and get a look at this object. This orange light was moving incredibly fast in a direction that spanned from the area of Rowville towards Ringwood. I then pulled over to watch the object, looking down over the suburbs from the mountain I had a clear visible of how far and roughly the position of where the object was. Mimicking a figure eight type of movement, the object came back in the direction that it had come from at a slightly quicker pace, before it ascended rapidly into the sky and out of sight around the Rowville/Lysterfield area.

Description: There weren't any changes in the shape or intensity of the orange glow, the most interesting movement was the figure eight type of flight path that the object followed, along with the phenomenal speed at which it was covering these distances. Location: Mt Dandenong Tourist Road, Tremont, Victoria. I pulled over just past a corner known as the 'Devils Elbow' with a high enough elevation to see most of the eastern suburbs. - Other Witnesses: there was one other car pulled over on the other side of the road approximately 60-70 meters from my car, but I cannot confirm if they had seen it or had pulled over for other reasons as no contact was made. - Actual Size: Hard to tell due to the intensity of the orange light that the object was emitting. My estimate would be that it was the size of a family sedan, again through the intensity of the light makes it hard to distinguish. - Altitude: There was cloud cover all across Melbourne at the time of the sighting. At the first moment I saw it, I would say it was at about 400-500 meters high, using the mountain as a gauge, which is 600 meters at its peak. It seemed to be inline with the height. I was viewing it at, but possibly about 8-10km away. When it ascended into the sky it would have gone high enough to go through the clouds. - Object Origin: when I first saw the object it was at an altitude of about 400-500 meters coming from the south and heading to the north, before reversing in the direction and heading back towards the south. - Object Destination: the object appeared to the heading south/ south/west and gaining altitude at a rapid pace, over the area of Rowville/Lysterfield. - Moon Visible: The moon was not visible at the time of sighting - Weather Temp: Cold, Cloudy, Calm.

Witness: Miss. Jean + Tim + Thomas +Myles
Number of witnesses present: 4
Sighting Duration: Approx 30mins - 1hr
Occupation: Student and Western Power Service Desk Technician.

Observation: I Was looking out over Point Perion beach on Saturday the 11th September 2010, this is usual of my friends and I to do on a Saturday
(there were three other witnesses with me), as there is nothing else to really do thus we look at the stars. It was cloudy and behind the clouds, we noticed an illuminated white glow, thinking this was the moon. We waiting for a while for it to appear. However, what did start to appear was a dazzling orange light (similar to those on the freeway). The light remained there for some time and appeared to be expanding in diameter. It would have been around the size of a small cell phone in the sky from our position (i attempted to take some video footage and a photo. However, they are both relatively dark). The light then suddenly vanished and about 5 minutes later two white illuminated glows came back behind the clouds, one in the original place and one just below this on the horizon. The bright orange light then appeared again. However, this time in a long strip. It was somewhat twinkling, and then half the lights vanished. The rest stayed there for about 3 minutes and then vanished, this time the light was brighter but on both occurrences it left no reflection on the actual water.

The lights were both south-west of the Point Peron cape. Our first thought after seeing this was that it was a sea rescue mission. However, there were no reports of sea rescue nor was there a load of activity from the naval base. It was only when we saw the Telegraph newspaper with a woman reporting similar things that we knew we didn't just imagine a whole situation and got carried away with ourselves, thus this is how we came across the website, and I am now reporting it. We have returned to Point Peron on a clear night and have not noticed anything in the sky that could account for the position or brightness of the object.

Location: The lights were both south-west of the Point Peron cape. The closest road would be Point Peron road, there is then a turn off into the car-park for Point Peron beach and Cape. We were parked up there and sat on the sandstone blocks. - Apparent Size Other: Elongated, rather like a cell phone.
Actual Size: Compared to my iPhone, the object was just a little bit smaller from where we were standing. - Altitude: The first object would have been about a flagpole high from where we were positioned. The second was just on the horizon. - Object Origin: The object was behind the clouds at first so it is unsure which direction it originally came from. - Object Destination: The object appeared to fade and then just vanish - Planets Visible: The southern cross could be seen, as could some of the Scorpio (i think that's it, or Taurus unsure, which is in our hemisphere), I don't believe Orion was visible. However, one of his belt stars may have been. These stars could be seen to the left of us and above us. - Weather Temp: Cold, Cloudy, : Windy Was very cold and windy and clouds were going towards the North, - Viewing Aids: Photographed and Filmed. .
