MID 1970s WAIKERIE, SA NIGHT (NL)
Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code 5185. Reported 08.11.05
One warm, dark and clear Saturday night in the mid 1970s, some people travelling from Morgan stopped at the local shops to talk about what so many had been seeing in the sky that evening. Apparently people were seeing lights in the sky. Linda heard of these reports and went for a walk to a large grassy area at the top of the main street and looked up at the sky. Something appeared instantly in front of her although still distant enough to make it difficult to gauge its size. The witness described an object with flashing lights. The object appeared and disappeared at a rate of knots. The glow was very bright. She remembers colours but not which ones. There was no noise and the object appeared to be round. At the time the witness was about twelve years old. Dominic McNamara AUFORN SA

I was attending the Campbell Junior High School in 1975. I was playing in the school grounds with probably a hundred schoolmates during the 1.00 pm lunch break. I was not the first person to see the small silver disc-like vehicle that was moving at high speed upwards away from us. Although it was a small object it was definitely recognisable as the classic UFO spacecraft. It was larger than a simple disc as I seemed to be able to perceive nozzles in the middle of the craft that looked like they could have been for lights. This may all sound rather outrageous but I swear it is true. Afterward I did not hear of anything in the papers or on the news at the time and really I don’t think people spoke about it at school in subsequent days. My memory was sparked recently when I read parts of a book that as been recently released in UFOs that states that there was a lot of UFO activity in the early to mid 1970s. I was wondering if this sighting was reported at the time and [whether there was] some record of it. It was possibly in the spring or summer and the sighting lasted maybe ten minutes. It was possibly 20 to 50 m in size flying at the altitude of a jet fighter. Anthony Clarke UFORNSW

AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 1975/1976/1977 WISEMAN’S FERRY, NSW 0300hrs (ENTITY)
Source:http://www.geocities.com/area51/vault/2016/archives/Wfspr.txt
Andrew’s story begins twenty years ago, in August or September, either in 1975, 1976 or 1977, but definitely at 3.00 am. He was with five mates on the road through to Mangrove Mountain, just past Wiseman’s Ferry, on the road to Spencer. In those days this area was a ‘bit of a drive’ northwest of Sydney. It was quite rural, with large sections of bushland. The six men in one car stopped just off the side of the road at a spot used previously as a toilet stop. Although it is admitted that marijuana was freely used, with the possible use of speed, the six men saw a humanoid shape come out of the bush amidst the fog and darkness. The humanoid was described as: Whitish/grey skin, a skinny thing, no hair, movements like that of an insect, large eyes that appeared red in the darkness, a body that appeared to glow or illuminate from the darkness and fog, no clothes whatsoever, and no discernable gender [unsure if this means that they did not see gender evidence or that there was no gender to speak of].

The humanoid actually ran at quite a pace, having a bipedal gait. It came running down a hill, knocking over a small tree. It climbed over a barbed wire fence in a second and came running at the six men. The six men immediately got back into their vehicle and sped away. It was said that the humanoid followed the car for a little way, making good speed. One or two of the men insisted that they turn around and knock down the ‘thing’ with the car. This suggestion was ignored partly due to fear and the desire to get as far away as possible and partly due to the driver not wanting ‘green shit’ all over his brother’s car.

That night the six men decided not to tell anyone of their experience.

Twenty years later, Andrew L decided to tell the story to The Investigator, Chris P, when Chris made it known over the open IRC channel that he was interested in UFOs and the paranormal. Andrew named his fellow witnesses as Bob B, Greg A, Larry W and Lee J, none of whom have been located, although the search continues. The sixth witness, Steve V, died in a car accident.

When interviewed, Andrew briefly described an experience that happened a year prior to the Wiseman’s Ferry sighting. With three others, he saw a light in the sky at Palm Beach, north Sydney. The light, said to be a UFO, was seen at 150 feet, bouncing up and down then disappearing behind or over a mountain. The Investigator can concur such landforms at Palm Beach. Another witness to this sighting is Ian W, who has not been contacted at all to date.

Andrew himself spends some time on IRC. He does not currently hold employment but receives a disability support pension. From what the Investigator can ascertain, he has no family, yet this information could be incorrect. From discussions held at later dates with Andrew L, he still tells the story the same way, with the details as he as portrayed in past discussions, sometimes with a month or two lapse in between. This includes the names of the five other witnesses and their possible locations. Basically, there is no sign that the information he has given has been made up on the spot. Whatever he has told, he firmly believes.

That fact cannot be proven until contact can be made with the other witnesses.

If this report is true and accurate, then it could be speculated that one or more of the six men is or was an abductee. With the description given, the humanoid sounds a lot like a Grey, although the red glowing eyes sounds strange.

Dianna B, a SUFOIT/Para-4 member, has said that some Greys, the more evil ones, do have red glowing eyes, whilst another UFO researcher asked if the red glowing eyes was due to the black eye lens of a Grey being removed. Based on this information, this type of sighting is quite rare with this type of Grey, and hence the possible reason for the abductee speculation. From this researcher’s limited knowledge, this sighting is unique.

Although this investigation is ongoing, The Investigator can draw no conclusions at this time. Really, a definite year of happening cannot even be established. Any person with idea, questions and thoughts please feel free to comment or add to this investigation. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Chris Payne SUFOIT/PARA-4

A foreman on a pineapple farm told a curious tale about an incident one night. He was working without lights on a vehicle in a field. There was plenty of moonlight. He felt he was being watched and, on looking around noticed an all white but not glowing man like figure standing off motionless to one side of the field. He decided to swing around and switch the headlights on to this figure. As he was doing so it vanished. Next day the foreman went to the spot to try to find a logical explanation, but there was none that he could see.

Mrs Alwyn R and her three children, Anne, Darren and Tony, recounted the following experience.

"It happened one summer night in 1977, when we were sitting outside, as the night was very hot. We were all watching the stars, when we all sat up straight, rather afraid. Shooting across the sky at a fast rate was a luminous diamond shaped light. It went from one corner of the sky to the other in 'round about three to five seconds.

Half an hour later it appeared again, only much lower and much faster....it was a transparent sort of light....It was just a brilliant white one."

From Mr. C. About 20 years ago when working on a large property in the Bayugall area South of Grafton, he saw a large bright white low in the air and lighting the ground up. When speaking about the sighting to work mates, they too said that they had seen similar lights over the years when droving cattle during the night and early mornings.

More recently, he has seen a bright white light on a regular basis. One night he flashed a torch at it in the Morse code Acknowledge and Reply code about a dozen times continually. Suddenly the object flew off at rapid speed.

In 1978, one warm evening, Kevin was meeting friends at a restaurant at Lamberts Beach, Eimio, Mackay. A lady looked at his clothes, glowing with reflection. Like strobe lighting does. ?Never mind that, you’re being sussed,? he said back to her. A dome-shaped object floating on the water drifted past the gasping patrons of the packed restaurant. Suddenly it took off like a rocket. It was huge. It had two levels with green portals. It was slow along the inlet. It looked like it was sucking up water between it and the water level. Kevin did not want to report it to the papers. He states that dozens of people in the restaurant saw it. The same witness to the February 1983 nr. Armidale (Walcha Rd) NSW 2230hrs CE1 incident, related the following experience

I once met a group of strangely dressed people who seemd to be observing a house in Naremburn in 1979 when I was about 17 years of age. the people were of slight build and wore suits simmilar to those worn by Cathy Freeman at the Olympics. the suits were grey and covered what looked like backpacks on two people the others had small hand held devices. Some were crouching and some standing behind trees on both sides of the street. I heard the nearesd one speak to me and ask who I was, I didnt see the persons lips move and seemed to hear the question in my head. Thats when it got too weird and I ran home in fright. I had thought of this event as some alien encounter for some years following but with the passing of years I have considered the idea that these people were humans from some future time. Dave writes, "The first time I saw a UFO was when I was fourteen years old in 1979. I was walking home about 9.25pm when a shadow went over my head. I cringed and looked up and saw this incredibly huge dark shape about 100 feet above me traveling north. No sound, no lights - nothing! It scared the living daylights out of me. I jumped into a bush and watched it pass by. Its shape was circular. I could see the stars outlined all around the object and it cast this monstrous shadow on the ground. Best visual encounter I ever had in my life! I stood there cowering in the bush till it had gone a few miles off and then ran like the wind home! Sure, at the time I was scared, but I wonder what a UFO was doing around my neighborhood. I live about five miles from the RAAF base Edinburgh and UFO’s were seen near bases a lot. This is a "Weapons Research Establishment" (W.R.E. - now named DSTO of "Defense and Sciences Technology Organization") Its a hi-tech hub for defense research. Several years ago a journalist disclosed while working on a corporate video for the DSTO he had entered an off-limits hangar that contained saucer shaped craft - as he described it when noticed in hangar, he was swiftly escorted out and told not to talk about what he had seen. Others have stated that there is a top secret project named "Project Apotheosis" that involves the transport of alien craft from the DSTO to another secret location. Perhaps it was the DSTO that was the focus. After all, some of best defense projects in the world have come from there. We had other sightings in the 70’s as well of strange lights doing right angle turns. The most recent sighting was last month while my brother and I watched a satellite pass overhead. Suddenly a bright light "switched on" in our view up in the sky and became really bright, then moved across the sky at a great pace till it disappeared. It took all of two to three seconds for it all to happen. It was like someone had kicked the engines to life and flattened the throttle. That’s the best way I can describe it.

My cousin Isabelle P told me about her experience recently that occured between 8 & 9pm whilst driving from Tewantin south towards Nambour on the Bruce Highway with the pine tree plantations lining each side of the road. Suddenly the dark night was lit up as if daylight and then looking for the source of the brilliant light she saw an enormous silvery-blue craft that was elongated, concave beneath & domed on top. After observing it for a few moments it flew off at tremendous speed, the brilliant light illuminating the countryside vanished & she found it hard to see the road with her headlights as her eyes had adjusted to daylight conditions.

On her car radio, she heard the announcer of station 4GO Nambour being flooded with lots of reports corresponding to what she had just observed. Then she reached a service station & pulled in & the people there were also talking excitedly about it. She expected to hear or read about it the next day but nothing was mentioned. My wife and myself were driving home from Caloundra in about the spring of 1979. My vehicle was a little 4WD Suzuki 2 stroke. We were travelling along the old road as the new road and bypass weren’t finished. It was about 8.00 pm, and there was no traffic either behind or approaching, that’s how quiet it was in those days. We were driving past Mt Tibrogargan when a very loud noise like a giant child’s spinning top came on the top of our car. The motor cut out but the headlights stayed on. I pulled into the side of the road and the car was illuminated with only a slight orange glow. The humming (which was quite deafening) moved away rapidly. We were both in shock, however, I turned the ignition switch and the car immediately sprang to life. As we prepared to move off, there was a repeat performance, only even louder. Within seconds, the humming moved off although we heard it for several seconds after that as it faded away. We then drove home to Ipswich without any further problem but we were both very scared and upset.

The following was added after subsequent contact with the witness, “At no stage during this incident was I able to sight the origin of the noise or light and as far as I am aware no missing time had been experienced”. Anthony Clarke UFORNSW

Barry had three or four sightings over the years and his enquiry was in regard to a photo he had taken in the late 1970s or early 1980s. He described a ‘tiny rocket’ in a photo he took, with fins and an afterburner etc. The photo was taken in his lounge room with the doors, windows and curtains all closed. He insisted there was a tiny rocket in the photo. When he was asked if there was anything in the room at the time, he said no.

It was suggested that Barry had either some dust or dirt on the negative, or a damaged negative. The investigator told him of a similar thing he’d seen where a small tear in the emulsion had created a photo with something that resembled a cruise missile in the background of the photo. When our family was travelling north on the Pacific Highway between Raymond T and Karuah, NSW, around 11.30 pm, the three of us kids in the back were wide awake. Looking around, I noticed a star becoming larger and larger behind the car. In a matter of seconds this bright light was tailing our car, matching the speed exactly. It appeared as a brilliant blue white ball of light that was swaying like a pendulum from side to side. Extremely eerie, it sat behind the car, pacing us for what seemed like five minutes or so. Without warning, the object then shot up the left hand side of the car, and appeared to be skimming through the treetops, casting a weird glow on the trees as it did. It was totally amazing that it was just pacing our car exactly, staying in line with the rear passenger window. Then in the blink of an eye, it pulled back to its original position behind the car, and with the same lightning speed shot up to the right hand side, where it stayed for another couple of minutes. The swaying motion was hypnotic and highly unusual. Us kids were begging dad to stop the car, but having discussed it with mum and my siblings over the years, we believe dad was scared out of his wits by it, and that’s why he wouldn’t stop. Once it had been on the right side of the car for a while, it once more returned to the original position behind the car, and without warning, it managed to vanish by shooting off backwards into the sky, and was gone from sight in under three seconds.

In February 1983 around 10.30 pm, I was driving to Armidale from the east coast along the Walcha Road, about twenty minutes before Walcha, and had reached the undulating land at the top of the plateau. The engine of the VW Transporter van gradually lost power and the lights dimmed as a UFO, about the size of two large shipping containers, passed me moving directly above the power lines on my right hand side, from east to west. It continued along above the power lines and was soon out of sight. The power to the engine returned as the object moved away. I was travelling at 100 km/h at the time and slowed to about 80 km/h with the loss of power. I estimate the speed of the object to be around 200 km/h. The only sound apart from the road noise of the moving van was the sound of air being displaced by the object of that size. The object glowed a pale neon red and blue along the outline of its shape which resembled two square pyramids joined at the base. The object seemed semi-opaque with a milky glow, it gave the illusion of rotating end over end but this observation could have been due to my changing viewpoint as the object passed. 1984 LAKE GWELLUP, WA MIDNIGHT (ENTITIES + NL)
Source: UFO Research NSW Sighting Report - Reported 29.03.03
It was the evening of the full moon and I had decided to take my dog for a midnight walk at nearby Gwellup Lake. I had walked some way along the lakeside under the gum trees and was about to cross a clearing lit by the moonlight when I noticed three or four figures in the distance heading my way. Judging from the size of the approaching figures I presumed them to be a group of boys, and I had noticed a white object moving about which I thought was the moonlight picking up the movement of white trousers as the figures moved. Being a lone female out very late alone, I considered it prudent to wait in the dark beneath the trees until the boys had passed on their way. As the figures drew closer however I realised that they were three humanoid figures moving in single file. What was obvious is that their arms and legs and head were out of proportion to their bodies which caused them to move with a strange gait (ape like movements), and the white object was actually a ball of white light rolling behind them just above the ground. They continued to move closer all the time without realizing I was crouching in the dark. At this point my dog had become terrified with hackles up and began to bark and snarl. The figures were alerted to our presence and stopped dead in their tracks. The leader lifted up his strange lanky arm and let out a spine tingling whooping noise! At this point my dog bolted with her tail between her legs leaving me to fend for myself, however after watching the dog flee, the small figures along with the rolling ball of light also fled into a high growth of wild lupins not far off. This was actually followed up the following evening when my cousin some how persuaded me to return to the lake about the same time as he was anxious to take photos if anything else occurred. We did not encounter any further small creatures but were buzzed several times over the clearing by an extremely bright light that made several passes over us. Unusual: The white ball of light moved with a rolling and bobbing motion but never touched the ground. The figures seemed to be unclothed with darkish or almost greyish appearance but this was difficult to discern in the moonlight. Location: I would have been at least 12 feet from the figures when they stopped and realized that they were being observed. It was winter but a clear night. The figures would have stood about three feet in height. The white light that buzzed us later was originally a long way off like a star and grew in size as it approach. I could not estimate its size over the clearing as I was hiding in fear under the trees as my cousin attempted to take photos of the light.

"I worked until 8.30pm and then joined my friend for his birthday party celebrations. The party came to an end at around 10.45pm and I went alone for a swim. I had completed two lengths of the pool and was just heaving myself out of the water, when I saw shafts of light emanate from a cloud directly above the Processing Plant of the Argyle Diamond Mine. My first thought was that I was witnessing the falling to earth of "space junk" from a satellite. However, the first beam of light was quickly followed by two more also coming from the same source. Two beams were clear white light and the third yellow. These light beams were similar in size and intensity to W.W. II Search Light Beams and they appeared to interweave and move as if searching the same area which was the Processing Plant. Nothing else appeared to interest the beams and after awhile they were retracted. I say retracted because, instead of being turned off at source, they retreated back into the sky as one would expect a length of rope to be pulled up. When the three beams of light had disappeared back into the cloud, I noticed that the area of cloud directly over the Processing Plant was illuminated from above and that the illuminated area was beginning to move toward me and to my right. I can only guess at the size of the craft which was causing the illumination as it was at all times obscured or rather, completely covered, by cloud. However, as it passed me and flew directly over our Construction Camp, the area of cloud illuminated was as big as the camp's centre and I had the impression of a huge flying vessel. I was struck by the fact that despite its obvious close proximity and vast size, there was absolutely no sound coming from the light source, which seemed to be only a few hundred feet above the camp. Thinking I might be asked to identify the crafts course I watched it fly slowly towards the horizon and picked a couple of landmarks to plot its course accurately. When the craft disappeared I ran to an accommodation unit and reported this sighting to a friend. I had woken him up and he didn't know what to make of my story. I saw a truck arrive in the camp and rushed to ask if the driver had seen what I saw - he hadn't. Frustrated, I phoned the police and reported the sighting. Again, I got the impression I wasn't believed. The next day, I was informed that a truck driver had seen a U.F.O. on the ground when approaching our camp, and three security guards reported having seen a small craft pass them at exceptional speed, that same night. Later, a sergeant of police phoned me to take a statement and said sightings had been reported, from the Kununurra area, again, on the same night. The sergeant ventured that he believed it to be the work of the Russians. When relating this story some years later, I was called to one side by a man who said he and his wife had been lying on a beach in Yanchep, WA just watching satellites cross the heavens. One of the "satellites" stopped and came down to hover just above the waves, a little way out from the beach. From the craft, 3 beams of light (the size and intensity of those I saw) were shone down upon the waves. The "beams of light intertwined and played upon the waves in which he saw Dolphins jumping. The lights were retracted rather than turned off and the craft returned to the heavens at great speed and without once having made the slightest sound. My informant said he and his wife were almost dumbstruck and made their way to the roadside where they found other people who asked them if they had seen that same incident."

Mr Torre recalled a sighting which occurred in 1989. He was standing on the locomotive platform getting ready to disembark the vehicle so that he could change the rail points ahead.

He saw a group of silvery streaks in the sky which he first thought to be the bright moonlight shining on the power lines. He then realized that these objects were too high in the sky to be just that. These silvery streaks of light were seen over the saddle in the mountain range to the north of Mt Bartle Frere north peak and to the SW of Bellenden Ker south peak.

The objects went behind a cloud and when they emerged again they were a bright silvery red and were trailing behind round objects (orange size at arm's length) which were blue or red. The round objects pulsed on and off randomly. Mr Torre watched the objects for five or more minutes as the objects travelled in a curved line northwards then westwards towards the coast, finally disappearing in the distance over the Graham Range app. near the Telecom Microwave Communications Tower and Television Translator.

Andrew advised he has had previous experiences. About 15 years ago whilst driving his car with a friend near Sale, Victoria, they witnessed a bright light heading straight towards them and when close ‘it shot straight up into the air’.

Andrew’s other experience was when he was with his younger brother Bill on their parent’s farm at South Gippsland, Woodside. The boys were only 10 and 12 years old and that particular day their parents were having a get-together with about 18 to 20 people. The boys were playing outside in the field and witnessed a craft come down and land. He said they were very scared and hid behind the dam bank. He thought the shape to be cylindrical with a landing structure. He thinks they experienced time loss of about one hour and would like one day to have hypnotherapy to find out what actually had happened.

They returned to the house at dusk and informed their mother (who is still alive) of their experience. They were not allowed to go outside after that and it was passed off as a possible crashed satellite. The next day when they investigated, there was no sight of the craft that had landed. There will need to be further investigation into Andrew’s experience. Errol Newlyn UFORNSW

Sighting of Black Triangular Shaped Craft in New South Wales, summer 1989-1990
It was in the evening at about 5.50 pm, during the summer of 1989-1990, I was travelling north on Freemans Drive, at Freemans Waterhole heading towards Heaton Gap (on the way to Mulbring from the F3 Freeway). As I exited the F3 Freeway I noticed an aircraft following the base of the Watagan Mountains. The craft was travelling very slowly (about a third of the speed of a light aircraft during landing!) and quite low, casting a shadow on the mountain. I travelled through Freemans Waterhole keeping sight of the shadow on the mountains. As I proceeded towards Heaton Gap the aircraft (travelling west to east) came into view and passed over my car. I could see the craft as I looked upward through the windscreen of the car from the drivers seat. The craft was silent, black (no lights) and looked like a flying triangular wing. The best way to describe it’s size was that it filled up (from head to tail) the width of a country road (i.e. one north and one south bound road) and the width would have been about the same. It was not much higher than tree height and appeared to be following a gully. The road then had a sharp incline, so the craft was lower than where I was (to my right) and I could clearly see its rear and part of its upper surface. The craft did not appear to have any windows although I did not see it front on. The top/rear was dome shaped and smooth without any sharp angles at all. I guess the best way to describe it would be a domed pyramid, but not very high, all in proportions to the rest of the craft. The craft appeared to be moving up and down in height to maintain a constant elevation from the ground surface. It was moving much slower and lower than a normal aircraft. It took me about 10 minutes to get home, just in time for the news. I had been expecting to see on the news, a new military aircraft visiting Williamstown Airbase, but as yet I have not seen anything to compare this aircraft with. Note by UFO Research (NSW): It appears that this craft had been flying in a manner to deliberately avoid being detected by ground-based radar! Anthony Clarke UFORNSW

Scott is a retired interstate truck driver who has driven road trains across the highways of Australia for fifteen years. His first unexplained sighting occurred between 1991 and 1993 when he was living in Marion Bay, South Australia. He recalls it was during winter, some time between 11.00 pm and midnight.

He reports: “I was fishing near the end of the jetty. The only reason I was there was because a modern steel prawn trawler was swinging on a rope on the end of the jetty. It had a large light on the mast. This was what I was using to see what I was doing on the jetty while I was squidding (fishing for squids). I was facing towards the northeast as the light southwesterly breeze was on my back. There wasn’t much happening with the squidding so I was just looking around when in the distance I saw an incredibly bright white light.”

He was looking at the uninhabited northeastern beach, about two to three kilometres away.

“I thought to myself, ‘Wow, what are the kangaroo shooters doing on the beach’, then looking at it more intensely I realised there is no way they could perform the manoeuvres that this object was doing. The light, about the size of a golf ball, held at arm’s length was doing some incredible speed in an area of about 500 metres to one kilometre. This light was bouncing back and forth along the beach, like following the bouncing ball when you sing karaoke. The light went from one end to the other in two to ten seconds. Behind the light were sand dunes so I can only make the presumption that it must have been travelling in a straight line from east to west and back again. I was watching this for about twenty seconds when I thought, ‘I gotta tell someone’. On the trawler I could see the crew in the wheelhouse sitting at a table so I yelled out to them ‘Oi, can you see that light over there’, and they all got up, three of them, and came on deck and we all watched the light for about another thirty seconds when one of the crew went back inside and turned on the vessel’s radar. At that very instant the light disappeared and was not seen again. When I tried to talk to them about it, the crew of the boat did not want talk about it. The weather was cold but a clear night. Lots of stars. The whole incident lasted less than a minute.” E-Mail Report 06.08.05

It was so fast (as of light-speed) and appeared so light (no noise).” As it approached, during the split second it was about ten to thirty metres from her, she “bolted out of the pool terrified but just as I turned around, like a light balloon, it bounced into a different direction north-east and disappeared. I ran into the house when my aunt’s husband asked if I was ok. I was speechless so I just nodded at him and went straight into the bedroom. I’ve never told anyone of the incident for many years”. In February 1995 around 2.00 am, the warship HMAS Newcastle was at sea 25 nautical miles east off Sydney, participating in anti ship war games with other naval units. The closest other unit was some 5 nm as surface consort. I was on the bridge at the time of initial observation. I saw bright lights pass directly in front of the ship at an excessive speed. The light projected reminded me of headlights from a passing car.

The lights stopped to the starboard beam of the ship. It is hard to estimate a distance however it would have been no more than 100 m ahead. The object shone a bright light at the front of the ship. This lasted for approximately 2 seconds. The object then moved at an excessive speed prior to adopting a ballistic profile (went straight up). I have never seen such speed before. The sighting lasted thirteen seconds.

The operations room was contacted and it was verified from operators that there were no helicopters in the air at the time. The next scheduled movement from Nowra was an SH-60 Seahawk helicopter that was to be used in the exercise. This was due on task at 0400.

At the time all Radars were not transmitting as per exercise requirements. Weather at the time was clear with unobstructive views in all directions. I cannot recall if there was moonlight that evening or not. Anthony Clarke UFORNSW

About 10 years ago, the caller’s sister had a strange sighting. Although she is a nurse with no interest in UFO’s at all, she felt compelled to tell the story through her brother as it involved a strange disappearance.

Living on an elevated setting in a mountain range, she was able to look down upon aerial objects. One night, she looked out to see a bright object illuminated by a set of on board lights. At one point, the silent, slow moving object gave out a brilliant stream of light which corkscrewed ahead of the craft. It was into this stream of light that the craft “dematerialised”.

Some years later, the caller’s father, a retiree from air traffic control and also with no UFO interest, was outside the same premises at around 3 am when he saw what could only be described as “the same damn thing”.

The caller has subsequently become deeply interested in theoretical physics to the extent that he had to call someone and correlate his findings along with reporting the original incidents which started it all off.

During 1995, several mutilated cows on his farm alarmed this same farmer. He lives alone in a caravan next to a shed many miles from the nearest small town. He's a real old time "bush farmer" (in his 50's) who knew nothing about UFO's until he started talking to his mates at the town's only pub about what he saw above his farm late at night. His mates made fun of him, so he finally bought one of those throw away instantmatic cameras and showed his mates what he was seeing. He also reported strange vivid dreams unlike anything he had ever known before, but that's another story yet to be fully explored and documented. (he's probably been abducted but doesn't remember and doesn't want to know!)

So his friends got him a tripod and a good easy to operate cannon camera, which he used to take over 100 clear photos of strange looking and moving lights over his property during 1997. (a few of these shown in the latest Birdsall's UFO Magazine). Near the end of last year, whenever he had a sighting, he woke up the next day to the sound of military jets and helicopters flying about the mountain ranges as if searching for something. There are no roads beyond his place, just thick and wild "bush". Soon afterwards, the sightings stopped and nothing more has been seen or photographed in 1998.

Additional Information:
Here's what Graham Birdsall published: "These strange images form part of a large collection (over 100) of still photographs taken by "Duncan Morrison" (a false name), a New South Wales cattle farmer (in the Barrington Tops Mountain Range). He admits he knows very little about photography, thus was guided by the manager of a local camera shop who advised him to use a tripod and 800ASA film for night photography. Photos were taken during May through August of 1997. A series of photos (not shown in magazine) shows three small lights appearing to enter a larger glowing object."

Investigation: What have we heard about the Barrington Top Mountain Ranges? Reports over the year's claim about 40 planes have been lost in that area. A local pilot had his instruments fail last year while trying to over fly the area to find out what the fuss was all about. He just made it back to the airport for electrical repairs. Bruce Cathie claims this same mountain area is a major harmonic spot on the world "grid". (Natural or unnatural magnetic anomalies exist there no doubt)

So what's going on here...cattle mutilations...over a 100 photographs of night light UFOs by a simple and sincere bush farmer...military aircraft repeatedly seen in the area after the sightings...films sent to out of town labs for developing were mysteriously lost and never returned.

Recommendations: What we need is a Rapid Response Team (RRT) to go and stake out UFO "hotspots" like this during the time of the flap to capture these things on VIDEO and support the eye-witness's involved. Is this not feasible with our present manpower and funds? Well, I can dream, can't I?

If you have any further information on this New south Wales "case" please contact me so I can pass it on to the investigators. The results will be posted and published as soon as possible. If nothing else, we know to keep an eye on the Barrington Top Mountain Ranges. If and when "they" come back, wouldn't it be nice to be ready for "them". Where's our CE5 Team in Australia?

The family lived in Castlemaine at the time and the caller told of the event happening around 9 years ago. At the time, there had been reports of radio interference and television reception going down. The reason for the reports was heightened with a collection of aviation delays due to bad communications at the airports.

Her son and his friend were out in cars at the time when they were pursued by bright light objects. Though they have never really told the whole story, whatever it was frightened these men - who at the time had a ‘bullet-proof demeanour’. The caller’s son said his friend actually injured himself trying to enter his own driveway at breakneck speed!

Part of the extensive report follows: An isolated farmhouse in open country. UFO activity already observed and reported in this location on the same night 10kms to the North. The "object" approached the house at medium altitude, descended and approached over the parking area. Flew over the front fence at an altitude that began the "track" being the narrowest of 100mm in width. Started over the front yard lawn close to the house fence. Traveled a short distance and must have realized that it should conceal itself better. At this point it may have been decided that a close look at the residents would take place because a light inside the house could have been seen. A diversion was made in the flight path that would take the Object towards the bushes and trees to the right, and away from the open approach that it started on. A line of flight along the outline of trees was taken. Altitude decreasing as approaching the Hibiscus tree. A diversion around this tree was taken so as not to crash into it. The path continued to the overhanging branches of the large pine tree in the darkened corner of the yard. The track widened to 350 mm here. The object was now at low altitude. It may have remained stationery here for a few moments while the situation was surveyed.... This 100-meter long "track" was found on a local farm.

I cannot remember any other UFO reports where this type of event has occurred after a UFO sighting, and I have no compelling reason to believe it has any connection with the visual sighting. I would suspect that it was petrol unintelligently controlled by human that type of making on grass is typical of petrol. I do not want to pour cold water on the event, but there is nothing about it to make me believe a UFO caused it.

Barry's response:
Thanks for your input Paul. When you see the extent of this "trail" as I have done, You (I) can only come to the conclusion that it is NOT made by spillage of petrol or herbicide. Firstly, you would require at least 100 litres of fuel to pour it on, (at 1 litre per metre), or at least 20 litres to spray it on, for the "track" varies in width from 100mm - 350mm. And to do the continuous curves without interruption of the fluid would require a mobile vehicle such as a ride-on mower or 4-wheel motor bike with a 100-litre tank capacity. This could not be so because, (1) There were no wheel marks either side of the "trail", (2) The "trail" at 3 points finished hard up against immovable objects. (3) The owner stated to have no explanation along this line of questioning. I have contemplated all possible "natural" or human causes on this, and it still remains a mystery.

Latest Update: 02.03.98
Barry rung the property owner and he said that he had the local Soil Conservation people out there to have a look at it. They were "unable to explain it", and that it was not caused by herbicide or other chemical because of the nature of the die off. Barry visited the site yesterday (Sunday 01.03.98) to have another look. The narrower sections of track are growing new grass of smaller leaf size and of a lighter shade of green. There is still no growth in the main dead patches. Soil samples were collected and sent away.

We noticed 2 people standing on a corner pointing to the sky. I did not see the rest but my daughter did. She said ?S ## T’..it was low, huge orange light with 6 smaller blue lights (3 each side down the bottom.) Then all of a sudden the blue lights took off in different directions into the sky....we fled home. When we got home we looked but couldn’t see anything. She could usually notice lights on the stairwell of the block of flats across the road, but this night the lights were not visible. There was mist everywhere. Laura wiped a section of the window as there was condensation on it. She noticed a figure was blocking the stairwell lights; a round black ball shape with a vertical band around the centre which protruded out, just hovering there. It was level with her window view, as she looked at it, it moved off to the right. She ran out of her room to the balcony door to open it and get a better look. Laura doesn’t know if she opened the door, apparently she found herself standing in the lounge-room away from the door and wondered what had happened. She immediately went in and checked on her son. She noticed dawn was breaking and wondered where the time had gone; it was pitch black one minute and dawn the next.

The next day someone mentioned to her that she had five small evenly spaces holes between her eyes, it took three days for them to go away. After they went away she woke up one day with four evenly spaced holes between her eyes in a square formation. Since this event took place she is having instances of possibly getting out of bed, getting dressed and going places during the night, but doesn’t know for sure. Laura stated she has the preoccupation of thinking about alien life forms, space etc and occasionally is having what I would call flashes i.e of being in other places etc.
