9 May 1997 Rockingham WA 2205hrs NL
A witness phoning from Rockingham reported a very bright light travelling exceedingly fast from South to NW. The description would categorise it as a green fireball; large bright shimmering aqua green with a red leading edge and a short dark conical tail. It appeared to drop straight down and was lost to view from the two witnesses. (Brian Richards/UFORUM from "Journal of Alternative Realities" Vol 5 Issue 1 1997.)

11 May 1997 Perth WA 0000hrs NL
A couple were driving South along Roe Highway. They braked to avoid a white rabbit which ran in front of them. This was followed by a group of white rabbits. So surprised by this scene, the couple stopped the car and got out. They then noticed in front and above them an orange light moving about erratically. It was zigzagging this way and that, up and down. The couple noticed there was no traffic on the highway, which was normally always busy at this time, but after the object had gone the traffic reappeared. (Brian Richards/UFORUM from "Journal of Alternative Realities" Vol 5 Issue 1 1997.)

A woman was travelling with friends along Riverside Drive, Perth in the direction of the Barrack Street jetty. In front of them, towards King"s Park, a bright orange half circle of light hovered above the road. It rose up heading West towards the ocean at great speed. Curiously there was no traffic in front of the witnesses on this normally very busy stretch of road. Another woman reported seeing a half Moon of light in the same area but at 10.30pm on the same night. (Brian Richards/UFORUM from "Journal of Alternative Realities" Vol 5 Issue 1 1997.)

An elderly male water diviner "Alan" set up a "psychic" style alphabet ouija board. Via this he was told to go to a particular location in the bush near Ceduna, which he did. At this location he was told that an alien would meet him and take him up in his flying saucer. He travelled to the location, but the alien told him he was "too good a man" and decided not to take him. Alan believed that the alien's intentions were "not good." (UFORSA)

6 & 7 Aug 1997 14km S of Grafton NSW 0300hrs 15mins NL
6 Aug. A report from a property owner. Mrs J was woken by the frantic constant barking of the work dogs. She lay awake for around 15 minutes listening to the dogs barking. She became concerned that there might be something wrong with the dogs so she went outside to check. Her husband remained asleep so she did not wake him. When she went outside the dogs stopped barking. Mrs J looked up at the starry sky and noticed a moon sized red "light" slowly moving away towards the West.

7 Aug. Again in the early hours of the morning the dogs began to bark. This time Mr J awoke and went outside to check. Again in the West was a very large red 'light" slowly moving away to the West.

6 Jul Mr J related a story to Barry of when one morning at 3 am his wife woke him saying that she was just "bathed" in a very bright, white light, that filled the whole bedroom. Mrs J felt uneasy about the incident when her husband jokingly said to her that "...maybe the Aliens were there." (Barry Taylor)

7 Aug 1997 Lismore NSW
Witnesses from the area reported what they described as "...what looked like a Flying Saucer, with flaming objects falling from underneath it." The official report stated that it was the Mir space station discharging waste products. Report from ABC Radio. No further details at the moment. (Barry Taylor)

17 Aug 1997 Grafton area NSW 1940hrs NLvChris and his girlfriend observed two unusual "Golden lights" for 15 minutes. Estimated to be 15km from their location, and towards the Dorrigo mountains. The first object was above "Red Hill" about 150m altitude. A round golden orb, the size of a tennis ball held at arms length. Fading out, then brightening up again and remaining stationary. After five minutes, a second golden object slowly moved into view. Larger than the first, half the size of the Moon. It seemed to be diamond or triangular in shape being pointier at the top. The first object seemed to respond to the second object as it came closer to it, by changing to bright red in colour and faded out, and not seen again. The second object appeared to be at tree top height and moving very slowly. It would stop, move upward, then sideways and continue until it was lost to view behind a hill towards Boambee Valley. (Barry Taylor)

A special report from Glennys Mackay of QUFON:
"Over the past four months several farmers in the North-Western districts have reported sightings. Five men on their way to work at a mining site spotted a round disk shaped object on the left of their vehicle, approximately 400m away. It was dusk and in a fairly isolated area approximately 40 minutes drive from Bileola. Andy, who reported the sighting, commented that the behaviour of the other four men was rather amusing. One gentlemen, who he described would sooner have a fight than a meal, put his hand over his eyes. The one next to him, being a religious man commented: "I did not see a thing." A third commented "...just keep going and don't slacken your foot off the accelerator." The fourth one wanted to go back and check them out further.

On another occasion, when travelling in the same area, Andy reported that there were three people with him at the time, when a very tall person in a silver suit, stepped out on the side of the road. This was about 8.45 p.m. while travelling to work, as they were on the night shift.

Approximately three years ago, Andy who works on the drag line at the open cut mine told me of an incident at approximately 4.45 a.m.-of being aware of someone watching him as he worked. Assuming that it was his boss checking up on them-he turned the bucket from right to left at a very fast speed thinking he would fix the boss for spying on them. When he did, only to discover it was not the boss, but two average sized people dressed in silver body suits. They turned away and about 5 minutes a UFO took off at great speed and disappeared. At the time, there were four men at the site who witnessed this.

On a station about three hours drive from Bileola, the owners have had many disturbances with regard to their cattle. Maurice put 19 young yearlings in a holding paddock till morning for the truck to pick up. Only to come back in the early morning to find they had been mutilated at various stages. As a result quite a number had to be destroyed while others were dead. He concluded that it would have to have been a very large cat to have done the damage that was done.

In this same area farmers have also told me of a strange dog that has been captured in the headlights of their vehicles, while others have spoken of leaving food out for this animal which had stripes on its rump and a body similar to a greyhound with a very large head. Some framers are convinced that it is a Tasmanian Tiger.

I am at present investigating a station up in the Gulf of Carpentaria where lots of sightings have taken place, landings and to top it off, more recently, the Kiwi stockman arrived at the homestead to tell the owner that he has left the lights on at the stock yards. On advising the stockman that there were no lights up there, he preceded to invite the owner to take a look. There by the stock yards is a windmill about 75 feet high-a long object, a little higher than the windmill with a huge spotlight on the top and several coloured lights flickering around the bottom area. When the owner shone the torch on this round disk, it immediately disappeared and re-appeared several yards away. And so over the next hour, they played games with the torch. Everytime they shone it at the round disk, the object would disappear and re-appear some hundred yards away.

On this same station, round circles have been found and the stock will not go near them.

The Aborigines, late October 1996 advised the owner that the "Little people were back." They up and left, never to be seen again (the Aborigines.)

On this same station they recently discovered large crevices have appeared about 18 inches across for many miles-like either an earthquake or some underground activity.

On mustering in November 1996, 8 head of cattle got away from the herd. The Jillaroo and Aboriginal stockman were sent to fetch them in. A cloud seemed to come down and block off the view of the people. Next they were entirely hidden by this mist. Within minutes, the two came bounding out of the cloud and looking pretty grim and frightened. The cloud lifted and, no cattle. All these happenings had multiple witnesses. They seem to be having constant sightings."
