1970-1971 nr LONDON (CE1)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 00475)
Shape: Huge upturned funnel
Size: Approx three times that of a jumbo jet
Objects: 1
Colour: Battleship grey, dull grey metallic texture, not highly reflective
Sound: None
Speed: 10 knots against the wind
Duration: To be confirmed
Direction: Moving East to West
Witnesses: Flight crew and passengers of QANTAS International liner

In 1970-71 Allan was a flight engineer for QANTAS based in London with 15000 hrs of flying time and was flying onto London during a blue sky day at 33000 to 35000 feet when the flight crew noticed an object like a “huge upturned funnel” at around 42000 to 43000 feet approximately 150 miles away. The captain of the flight announced the UFO to the passengers - for photo opportunities and general gawking, indicating that the captain, flight crew and passengers all felt in no way threatened or in danger. The captain maintained his course and did not divert.

The plane approached the object and flew under it at about a 45 degree angle. From underneath, the base of the funnel did not appear round but instead like a flattened elongated diamond. The object had no framework, no portholes, no doors or windows, and no visible propulsion. The object was confirmed by Shannon control Ireland on radar. Winds at where the object was ie: 42000 feet..travel from West to East due to the Earth&Mac226;s rotation thus eliminating the possibility of a weather balloon. While reading a staff magazine Allan read that a British Airways crew had seen the same object on the same day on a flight from London to Rio.

Allan had also heard since that a similar object was seen by another QANTAS crew in Darwin at night somewhere between 1955-1965. Allan clearly has excellent aviation knowledge and told me that an object of that shape should not be able to fly in our atmosphere. Doug Moffett AUFORN NSW

1982 PERTH (LEEMING), WA Evening (NL)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 00733b)
The witness went on to relate a previous sighting 18 years ago when he was ten. Also in Perth (Leeming), he and two friends were in the driveway of a battle axe block with their bikes around dusk. Three coloured lights , red, orange and blue, passed over their heads about 20m up. They (the lights not the boys!) made a whirring sound as they headed North. Needless to say the lads were shaken by the sighting and headed home as fast as they could. Brian Richards ASPR/UFORUM

22.10.84 LANGEWOOD FOREST, bet. ELLIOTT & DUNMURRA, NT Midnight (NL)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 00493)
Shape: Ball of light
Size: size of full moon
Objects: One
Colour: Green and Yellow
Sound: None
Speed: Hovered, moved slow
Witnesses: Five +

Working on a highway upgrade at the Langwood Forest NT with five other workmen, Noel and Fellow workers witnessed a Ball of green light the size of a full moon move over some trees and land a few kilometres away and turned to yellow just before landing. The glow was seen 5km around. Many other locals saw it as well. All the men were on their earthmovers and other machinery but there was no EMF (Electro Magnetic Frequency) interference or sound. The men got jittery and most left the job saying that “something is not quite right”. Kay McCullock AUFORN QLD

Witnesses: Husband

Chris wanted to let our Network know that they saw the same type of lights around a year ago. They stated the objects were in a stingray formation and stayed at the same height for some time. She states that for part of the time they were watching these objects they appeared to be flying parallel to the Nepean River. Karen Burden AUFORN NSW

06.12.99 ADELAIDE (NORTH FIELD), SA Evening (CE1)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 00431)
Shape: Star Trek like spaceship
Size: A loaf of bread
Objects: 1
Colour: Blue
Sound: None
Speed: Fast
Duration: 15 seconds
Direction: West to East over to where Yatala Gaol on a level path
Witnesses: 4

Charmaine (AUFORN SA) called Vanessa today about her phone call, she told me that she had actually called on behalf of her husband Nick, who had seen the UFO, with 3 other men. She then proceeded to hand the phone over to her husband Nick. Nick was sitting outside with 3 of his mates, when all of a sudden a bright light appeared out of nowhere in the sky. First off, Nick thought it might be the Police helicopter, and that it had turned on its search light. But, what seemed strange to Nick and made him change his mind, is that as the object got closer he could make out that it was quite large, and coloured a blue colour, not white, like the search light would be.

When she asked Nick how big he thought the object looked to him, he said roughly the size of a loaf of bread...it was long and quite large. He said, he felt it looked like a ship and reminded him of a Star Trek like spaceship.

“ It just appeared from behind a tree !!... I sat there with my mates and we watched it travel levelly for about 15 secs. I live near the Northfield Velladrome and it moved from West to East over to where Yatala Gaol is. The funny thing was, it all of a sudden spurted a bright fluoro coloured tail...the same sort of colour that you get with a gas flame..that colour blue.

It seem to spit out the flame, which then made it move...then it again stopped...spitted once, then twice, the flame came spinning out of its end and started to move off again, then to our suprise, as we watched it just disappeared.”

Charmaine spoke to Nick about how it had been said in the media that a Meteorite was reported in the night sky at the same time.

“NO, NO, I know what a meteorite looks like, I,ve been interested in the night sky for some years now, since I was a young kid. My parents owned a shack down at Willunga, and I know I have seen some strange things in the sky down there, in fact I would say some UFO’s. I own a telescope, (which he has had for approx. 12wks) and have read up on things in the night sky, so I truly believe that it was NOT a meteorite, but something else. How could a meteorite just disappeared into thin air? I should have been able to follow its path through the sky”

Nick and his mates sighting lasted for approx. 15 secs and during that time, Nick stated the object travelled on a level path. Nick is happy to be contacted again, if any further info is required. Charmaine Ballam AUFORN SA

09.12.99 COOKTOWN (HELENVALE), QLD (NL)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 00422)
Shape: Star like
Objects: 4
Colour: Bright white
Sound: None
Speed: Of a jet aircraft
Direction: South to North
Witnesses: 1 & Kids

Carol stated that she was in her residence when her “kids” ( nb: the “kids” are adult children) called her outside, when she went out they pointed out a light high in the clear night sky.

The object was a bright white star like light and moved in a steady trajectory across the sky from South to North, a moment later a second similar object followed the same trajectory, then followed a third then a fourth similar object all on the same trajectory at similar separations apart.

The flight trajectory of all objects was horizontal and they travelled out of sight to the North. Carol went inside again to call someone about her observations when she was called back out side, this time a similar object to those previously seen travelled from North to South on the same track, a moment later this was followed by a second object again on the same track (N-S) All of the objects were of the same appearance and travelled about the speed of a jet aircraft silently across the sky, they appeared to be high in the sky.

The light on all of the objects was of a constant brightness. The witnesses also saw a satellite pass on a different track during their observation, the satellite was flashing and travelled much slower in an arc across the sky.

Carol said she was very familiar with high altitude aircraft passing over the area, south west of her location on track from Darwin or Cairns. The objects did not display normal aviation lighting and were not on the usual flight track. Checks with Cairns ATC revealed no military flights in the area at the time of the incident.

The reporter also recalled a sighting of a large bright object about eight years ago near Aloomba South of Cairns. Russell Boundy UFOR(FNQ)

(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 00469)
Shape: Round
Size: Star size
Objects: 1
Colour: Dull white colour
Sound: None
Speed: Satellite at straight line..twice as fast when zig zaging
Duration: 15 seconds
Direction: Moving North East direction
Witnesses: None

Peter was at his parent&Mac226;s place in the back yard just finishing a cigarette when he noticed a dull white light travelling at plane speed at about 45 degree&Mac226;s above the horizon. The object travelled in a straight line for about 10 seconds before going up and down in a “drunken zig zaging line”. The object had a definite side to side movement as it zig zaged up and down. The range of the movement from the original course was estimated to be about four fingers either side of the original course. This course movement was performed at approximately twice as quick as the linear movement. The zig zaging continued about four times during the last five seconds of the sighting. The appearance of the object during the zig zag was one of a definate wobble. The object covered about five degree&Mac226;s of sky during the sighting. The object seemed to be charting a course along the coast

line..heading North. The light source was lost to the witness as it entered a large cloud. The witness was an amateur astronomer and has good knowledge of satellites and the night sky. This report was very similar to a report i took from Jan 1981-1983 when a group of witness’s at South West Rocks near Kempsey (North Coast NSW) saw a satellite like object travelling in a straight line..then moved at great pace to change

course..before re correcting to the original course and then leaving into the disatnce at incredible speed. Doug Moffett AUFORN NSW

Shape: V shape
Size: Large
Objects: 1
Colour: Black with Dim orange lights
Sound: None
Speed: ?
Duration: 3 to 4 minutes
Direction: Suddenly disappeared
Witnesses: 1

Sunday night the 2nd Jan at approx 9.30pm, after falling asleep in his chair, Peter woke up and went Outside to feed his dogs. As it was such a nice night he decided to relax for a while and do a bit of stargazing, which he very often does late at night. After approx half an hour, he looked up and noticed a large, solid black V shaped object with dim orange lights which were situated along the front end of the object. Peter said it was a very clear night and he first noticed the object because it was blocking out the Big Dipper constelation he had been looking at previously. There was no sound emitted from the object at all and Peter estimates that it must have been at least 5 times bigger than a Jumbo Jet. He sighted the object for only 3-4 seconds when Peter says it just disappeared from view.

There were no other witnesses. Alice Mitchel AUFORN VIC

02.01.00 PERTH (CAVERSHAM), WA 2210hrs (Identified as Meteorite)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 00459)
John from Caversham states that he had a front on view of the object and believes it to be a type of interstellar craft that was “out of control” in our atmosphere. John claims the object was travelling from a South Easterly direction. He described the fiery glow of the meteorite as “magnesium green” and claims to have seen pieces falling away from the main body of the object. He believes that these pieces may have been responsible for a number of fires along the possible flight path of the object.

John claims to have witnessed a plane on final approach to Perth airport abort it’s landing and go round as a result of the close proximity of the meteorite. He also claims that there was aerial activity at Pearce RAAF base, North of Perth at the time of the sighting, saying that he heard a number of military aircraft airborne at the time. Pearce denies having any aircraft aloft at this time.

John says that the meteorite vanished abruptly in mid flight having just passed overhead. He cites self destruction or dematerialisation as possible reasons for the sudden disappearance.

The Perth Observatory took a number of calls regarding the meteorite on Monday but due to the conflicting nature of the calls have been unable to determine an exact flight path (no-one at the observatory saw the meteor) but confirmed that the majority of reports described a bright green fireball.

This case is still being investigated, will forward anything else that comes to light, how ever at this stage I am prepared to say that the sightings seem to relate to natural phenomenon. Andrew Rigg AUFORN WA

On the night of Sunday 2nd Jan 2000, Margaret who is a nurse was on her way home from work When at approx 10.20pm she observed a black V shaped object with 3 red lights hovering over Houses in Sky Road, Frankston. She pulled over to the side of the road and turned off the Ignition (Prior to turning off the ignition she had noticed some interference on the car radio).

She said the object was very big and no sound came from it, what so ever. It was a very clear night. And although it wasn’t hot at all that night, Margaret had a feeling of the car and then herself becoming Very hot. She watched the object for a few minutes when it suddenly disappeared. 02.01.00 YARLOOP, WA 2331hrs (Identified as Meteorite)
(Source: 1800 Freecall National Hotline Number - Callin Code: 00459)
Reports came from far and wide on the morning of Monday 3 January 2000 of an unusual green light seen travelling across the skies of Western Australia.

Dave from Yarloop, 120km’s south of Perth reported a “green flare like object” travelling West to East at approximately 9pm on Sunday night (2/1/00). A police officer stationed at Yarloop also sighted the same object and described it as a bright shooting star.

Sightings were also made at Biningup Beach, Harvey, and across the Perth metropolitan area at around the same time indicating the object was travelling at an extremely high speed. Andrew Rigg AUFORN WA

Size: Star like
Objects: 7 pulsating 3 laser
Colour: white
Sound: None
Speed: Fast
Duration: Aprox 1 hour
Direction: S/E to North
Witnesses: 2

On the night of Friday 7.1.2000, the witness sighted 7 pulsating white lights travelling from S/E to N across the sky. He also observed what he describes as 3 laser type streams of light in the sky also. He said the objects moved across the sky very fast, faster than he has seen a high altitude plane travelling at, he could not judge the size of the objects, but they looked to be the same size and shape of a star. He, and another witness, his brother, observed these lights for approximately 1 hour when all of a sudden they shot up into the stars and were lost to view. Alice Mitchel AUFORN VIC

Shape: Light source
Size: Bright star size
Objects: 3
Colour: Very bright orange
Sound: None
Speed: Faster than a planet..much slower than a plane
Duration: 5 to 6 minutes
Direction: Moving East to West
Witnesses: 3

Mrs H was the first to observe the objects, she later called her husband and daughter. She noticed one very bright orange object moving slowly, then upon closer scrutiny saw two other objects travelling in formation across the sky. Two of the objects were travelling one above the other, with the third below and slightly behind the other two. They kept this formation for the duration of the sighting. The distance between the objects was approximated to be four fingers at arms length. The lowest of the objects was very low on the horizon and may not have been visible to those with limited low horizon views. Mrs H walked slowly around the swimming pool in order to keep the objects in sight, indicating that they were indeed travelling faster than a planet. The objects were much more orange than Mars, were not twinkling and appeared high, like a satellite or star.

The objects were seen at approximately 8pm. There was very little cloud that night and none in the direction of where the objects were seen and there was a crescent Moon. The object was lost to view behind trees but also appeared to be moving into the far distance. Neither Mrs H or her husband were concerned about the sighting although their daughter admitted to being ‘freaked’. Mr H works with satellites in his profession as a remote sensing geologist and is quite familiar as to how they should look and act.

In my investigation of the incident I spoke to East Services who radar track the Sydney Metro Area and they informed me no unusual air traffic was reported at that time..including the Goodyear Blimp. ABC Radio News had not received any reports and neither had Gordon Police Station. Sydney observatory likewise had not received any reports but did suggest that the Mir space station was in orbit decay and was ‘rolling’ , causing it to flash as it rolled..which may explain some future sighting - but not this one. Sydney observatory also informed me that once every 11 years the Earth is closest to the sun..increasing the aurora activity at the poles, and that it might be possible for those as far North as Southern NSW or even perhaps Sydney to witness some of the auroral activity. Once again food for thought for future sightings. Doug Moffett AUFORN NSW

Jill was Sitting in lounge after ironing for 3 hours, decided to watch TV (had fan on - very hot). Baby was asleep behind me. All of a sudden a Thick White Cloud walked ‘THROUGH’ the fly screen door, across the kitchen, into the living room, was in front of the TV (couldn’t see TV - Cloud was very thick) then went to the wall near the TV and faded. Noticed out in back yard looking through the screen door and some shade cloth on the deck that there was a large triangular shaped object with a red arrow head looking thing on it. The Cloud/Mist had no shape to it other than it was approximately 4 feet square in total size.

Since the incident, approx 2 nights later someone/thing taped Jill on the ankle (this has happened before in a previous residence). Jill woke up startled and saw a VISION of her mother having a heart attack and was quite disturbed because she had a feeling that she might be passing away soon. Jill has just come back from spending 2 weeks with her mum and she is actually ok.

However, 4 years ago her Brother died of cancer, they spoke of the afterlife and Jill mentioned after he passes away he might like to and visit!

Since her brother has passed away there has been pedestal fans hovering in mid air and falling over, photos flying off walls and shelves (mainly of mother - brother didn’t get on with his mother), baby bottles doing somersaults in mid air. Her other young daughter has also had the tapping on an ankle and blankets moving strangely around on top of her.

This report will be followed up further within the few days. We’ll keep you posted! Kay McCullock AUFORN QLD

Jim reports sighting an orange light in the sky over Redcliffe two Saturday nights ago (15 January) at 8.30pm. Working in the aviation industry, Jim is familiar with aircrafts and the usual characteristics of landing and taking off and the lights used etc. When a plane is coming into land they will turn on their landing lights, this was not the case.

Not having seen anything like this before, Jim was curious if anyone else had seen it and telephoned the radio stations, local papers and airport - nothing had been reported at that time.

Description as follows:
Orange ball of light the size of your small finger nail was moving inbound (i.e. north from Brisbane). First thinking it was an airplane coming into Redcliffe aerodrome, he watched it but was curious of the orange colour. The orange ball of light was moving slowly when it stopped and another orange ball (identical in colour) shot down from the first, this was repeated twice more. The light/s were not “flares” or “pyrotechnics” falling downward.

Jim estimated it travelled 1km in 8 secs before stopping. Last thought was it might be a balloon, until it shoot off in a westward direction moving quickly where it disappeared from view. Rita Robb AUFORN QLD

Mrs Bowe , husband and 6 friends were sitting outside when they witnessed a star like object that came from the North and heading South . The object came toward them before possibly zig zagging and heading straight up into space before being lost to the sight of the witnesses. A second object came 5 to 10 minutes later and followed the same pattern. The 2nd object followed a path parallel but not exact to the first. The object did appear to get a little brighter as it approached but the witnesses claimed it was very high and very bright and got smaller as it went away. The object was like a flame and displayed a definite change of direction. Doug Moffett AUFORN NSW

Size: 16 centimetres
Objects: 1
Colour: Bright white light, with reddish cone tail
Sound: None
Duration: 3.45am to 5.10am
Direction: East Hovering over Mudjimba Island (slightly to the North)
Witnesses: Pat asked around but no one else has come forward yet, she may ask the local paper to publish her story in the hope that someone else saw it.

Pat, a very well spoken, educated, older lady was staying at the Discovery Beach Resort on the Sunshine Coast (used to be the old Surf Air) on Friday night, 28th January 2000. Her room overlooked the ocean and the hotel was right on the beach.

At about 3.45am on Saturday Morning (29th) Pat woke up from a restless night, (Pat does have trouble sleeping) and saw a very bright light shining through the window of her room, Pat got out of bed and looked out the window and saw this light which Pat describes as 500 times that of a fluorescent light. She was looking out to the East over the ocean, Pat says there is a very small uninhabited island about half a mile out to sea from the resort called MUDJIMBA ISLAND, and the light was just above this Island about 2,000-3,000 feet up and slightly to the North of the Island. The light stayed in the same position and after about a hour. Pat noticed a shape, rectangle, with a reddish cone tail end. Then some little flashes of light came out the cone looking tail. Pat sat at the window watching this light until 5.10am when it started to move upwards and disappeared.

Pat says she has never seen anything like it before, and would like to know what it was? She has never thought about UFO’s before but it has now made her think about it and want to know more. She is familiar with the stars and says it was not a star. Jan Stone AUFORN QLD

Follow up call to reportee by phone 04.02.00.

The witness was sitting reading in the park area near the main beach at Port Douglas, there was still reasonably light in the sky but to continue reading the witness moved under some better light , as he did so his attention was attracted to a bright light in the south-eastern sky.

The light was stationary about 35 degrees above horizon but below the cloud that was present. He described the light as very bright silver and pulsating, as it pulsated it grew in size, its shape would also change as it pulsated. The witness describes the light’s size as brighter than the planet Venus. He watched the light for about 2 minutes until it “shot away to the South really fast”. He said it did this getting smaller and fading out of sight. The witness said that half an hour later he saw a similar light through the cloud moving toward the north slowly.

Although the reportee believes the first light he watched is unusual, it does seem characteristic of an observation of the planet Venus. Unfortunately I have been unable to confirm the planet’s exact position due to cloud and rain lately. Russell Boundy UFOR(FNQ)

Size: Not known
Objects: One flash of light
Colour: Jane, says it was a white light, her son says it was a orange light.
Sound: None
Duration: Aprox one second
Direction: Not sure

My son and I were lying on the floor watching T.V. on Wednesday night (2.2.2000 at7.30pm) when I saw from the corner of my eye, a flash of light through the front door, which seemed to come from the back of the house. My son at the same time said to me, “did you see that”. The light was very bright, it only lasted about one second, and was a quick flash, but my dog started crying and we was to scared to go outside to take a look.

Investigator comment:
I asked if it could have been a taxi shining its light in the front door looking for a house number, but she said “no it was much brighter than a taxi light, or torch, or spot light”. I asked if she though it could have been a helicopter with a search light, but she stated there was no noise. I asked if it could have been the neighbours children flashing a torch past the window, but she said the light was too bright for that. Jan Stone AUFORN QLD

Lynn and a various number of witnesses described various phenomena over a period of 5 days. Objects that displayed red and green lights moving at steady pace were most likely plane misidentifications. Star like objects travelling at steady pace but at different speeds were most likely satellites. Though on the 4th of February Lyn and several witnesses witnessed 2 objects that appeared to them to be involved in a ‘police chase’. A star like object zig zagged thru the sky before zooming off into space, this was followed by a second star like object that performed in the same fashion. This was witnessed for approx 10-15 seconds. Doug Moffett AUFORN NSW

The witness saw a zig zagging light for about 1 hour. The object was red and green and was alternatating between flashing and glowing. He object appeared bigger than the stars and was hardly moving at times and seemed to be hovering with pronounced eratic movements. The witness called two other friends who witnessed the object also from Swansea in Newcastle and Cessnock West of Newcastle. The single object was not like a plane&Mac226;s colours and was cylindrical in shape like a 44 gallon drum.

Other descriptions of the object were; saucer shape; circular; concave top; lights moving around a form. Movement was top to r/h/s to bottom and back. Object was above tree tops by about 12 to 15 feetand at one stage was still for 15 mins while pulsating different colours. A local newsagent took Photo’s of the object that appeared about 9.30pm. The length of the sighting seemed to be hard to ascertain. Venus would seem a prime suspect if the duration was of several hours, which at times the witness suggested it was. Doug Moffett AUFORN NSW

Duration: 5 mins
Time: 1.15am
Direction: East to West - low altitude
Night Sky: Clear with high wispy clouds
Witnesses: Sharon, her husband and 2 [older]children

Sharon, with her husband and children were returning from her brother’s 50th birthday and arrived home at 1.15am. Whilst getting out of the car in their driveway she happen to glance up at the night sky and saw a orange orb/ball shaped object. She told her husband, who also then looked up and saw the same object. Sharon has 2 older children who were with her at the time, also saw the same object.

They stood and watched it travel slowly from East to West, this took approx. 5 mins. During that time, one of her older children raced inside to obtain one of the younger children’s binocular. Even though, the binoculars were basically ‘toy’ ones, her husband used them and said that he faintly saw a tail at the end of the orange orb/ball.

As they watched it, it passed ‘underneath’ the wispy clouds that were in the night sky, thereby giving them a good indication that this object was not as high up as a satellite would be. Upon discussion with her husband and children she ruled out, the following: a meteorite and a plane, [as she stated to me: “ at 1.15am in Adelaide, there are certainly no planes flying, plus where I live the planes flight paths never come that way”]. Sally phoned because her son” Darcy” was very upset as he told his mother that he had just seen a UFO as he was standing on the porch of their home, at 7.50pm Monday (24th) night. Sally said “Darcy is 9 years old, and could no stop talking about it and was very frightened, he kept saying that his parents did not believe him, and as he was very upset, they became worried. I then spoke to Darcy, with great care, as this child was very nervous, we had a little chat and he started to tell me that as he was standing on the porch he saw a UFO, he said it was round, white/orange in colour with red fire coming out of it. He saw it for about 10 seconds, and it disappeared.

He said he had not seen it before, but he was so convinced that he asked his mum if the Aliens were going to land tonight. Sally then told me that she did not know who to ring to help him, but he did seem much happier when I told him that it sounded like a new Air force Craft (and played it down). I told his mum the truth, at this stage I didn’t know what he saw and I am still checking, however she was very happy that her son felt better. Sally told me that her son often had nightmares, about monsters and used to hide under the bed, but this time he was acting different towards the object that he saw in the sky. Jan Stone AUFORN QLD

Karen woke up around midnight on Tuesday morning and made a cup of tea. She decided while she was awake she would go outside and have a look at the night sky, this was approx around 12.05am/12.10am.

Whilst sitting outside, she saw something in the sky at approx 45 degrees and said ‘What’s This’. She watched it for about 10 mins and it didnt move. She got her husband to come out and have a look as well. They then went through the ‘Its not a helicopter/plane/ weatherballoon’ etc routine. Her husband even suggested it might have been the Goodyear blimp, but Karen said it couldn’t be possible for that time in the morning. She then got her 15 year old son, to get his binoculars.

Through the binoculars the object appeared to be cigar shaped and had distinctive flashing coloured lights. The colours were Red/Yellow/Green. Whilst continuing to watch the object through the binoculars, Karen saw the lights go through a cycle of: Red to Green to Purple, then Red to Green to Orange, the lights during this time were flashing very quickly.

Also, during the sighting, Karen saw 2 Cessna/light aircraft appear to fly underneath the object, thereby showing a definite difference between the object and the planes. The planes continued to fly on towards Aldinga airport whilst the object remained hovering. Around 12.50am it started to drift westwards, then suddenly just disappeared - as in Karen’s words ‘it was there one minute, gone the next’.

Karen informed me that she also took some photos of the object. I asked Karen if anything did come out, once the film had been developed, for her to contact me for further investigation. Charmaine Ballam AUFORN SA

Below is from Sharon K, also from Perth, WA. This is her account of what happened Thursday night.

“I live in WA also, and heard several reports on a local radio station here, 6PR, at about 10:00-10:30pm Thursday night of which a craft with definate light colour changes was extremely slowly moving across the sky. After several reports of lights changing from redish to bluish to whitish, a caller phoned in to say it was a small plane heading very slowly south, close to the coast, and appeared to be headed Mandurah way. The caller was a truckie I believe following it at the time. I raced outside with my telescope as I was in a position to observe the lights and they appeared to be almost stationary, however probably due to moving slowly away from me.

If these reports are similar to the one Brian is investigating I believe they were solved as a simple small plane.” Robert Frola AUFORN
