October 2009 Received on 31/10/2009 22:29:00 24.10.09 GYMPIE (QLD) 01:30 hrs Observation: I was at Taronga Zoo Sydney. Looked out over the harbour and saw a shinning object in the sky which seemed stationary or moving very slowly. I then saw about 5 or 6 more but less distinct. I then attempted to video the object or objects. This proved difficult as the objects seemed to be a fair way away and I was unable to zoom and focus, Most of the video is poor as I could not focus and I was unable to steady the camera. I did sit down to reduce movement, but people walking past mucked up the focus. - Description: None noticed. Objects remained fairly stationary. Moving slowly to the east. Then it was no longer there. - Location: Viewed looking to the South out over the harbour from Taronga Actual Size: 6 or 7 1 more distinct than the others. - Altitude: There were about a third of the way to vertical. Unable to Weather Comments: Unsure about wind, recall it as still, videoed to memory stick. - Effects Psychological: A bit cheesed than family and friends did not bother to take the time for a good look. - Other Experiences: Many years ago I saw an object in the night sky, east of Buderim that resembled a fluro tube. Observation: I looked over towards the west, where the sun was setting, and I saw an abnormal object just above the horizon. I assumed it couldn't be a planet and the moon was on the other side of the sky, so I took a few pictures. - Description: It was a round, bright white object hovering around the cloudy sky. 27.11.1984 MORTDALE (NSW) 23:30 hrs Observation: Walking home along street near crest of hill,observed large orange-coloured ball shape moving rapidly across south-western sky,in a direct line about 10 deg. above the horizon,moving in front of & behind a few light clouds. I formed the opinion that it was moving directly above the western section of the Sutherland Shire,thus placing it about 7-8 kms As it moved towards the West it was obscured by the street scape; I then rushed home to my 2nd-floor level balcony but by the time I reached this West-facing vantage point,it was no longer visible. - Description: No. It held a 'steady' course. No solid outline or edges noted,[11.30 at night].No sounds. - Location: Austral St Penshurst, near Ocean St. - Apparent Size: Tennis Ball. - Actual Size: Hard to estimate,[darkness & distance] but large,maybe 20 meters across. - Altitude: As previously,hard to estimate but probably 100-200 meters at a minimum & height maintained with no noticeable ascent or descent. - Object Origin: From South towards West,across south-western sky,about 10 deg. above horizon. Object Destination: Last seen in West. - Moon Visible: Night was moonlit,no recollection of moon location or phase. - Moon Size Comparison: Similar size. - Planets Visible: Night was fine & settled,a few small lower-level clouds,little or no breeze. No attention given to stars or planets. But 25 years later I am certain of date & exact time. - Weather Visibility: Clear, Pleasant, Calm, A fine & mild night.
08.06.1973 MORTDALE (NSW) 15:45 - 5.50 hrs Observation: Saw bright red or reddish/pink light in sky,larger than an aircraft navigation light in an apparently stationary position for several minutes. - Description: No. light was stationary or very slow-moving,at some distance,20-30 deg. deg above horizon. No outline was visible against dark sky [nearly 1 hour after sunset in early June.] - Location: Looking through 1st floor window towards south-west at Cameron St [now called New McLean St] at Edgecliff, 3- 4 kms east of Sydney CBD. Apparent Size:Pea-Sized - Apparent Size Other: probably appeared smaller than pea-size. - Actual Size: No outline visible,and at a distance but maybe size of a bus. - Altitude: At aircraft height -but NOT an aircraft. - Object Origin: Seen to S.W. of observation point,placing it over inner south-west Sydney suburbs,this was my reckoning at the time. - Object Destination: No real movement observed,this is the reason my attention was drawn to it. - Moon Visible:No recollection of moon location,but not visible at the time. - Moon Size Comparison:Would have been much smaller. - Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Calm. - Weather Comments:A few light clouds,none in vicinity of object.
2008-9 ADELAIDE (SA) 15:45 - 5.50 hrs Observation:I have seen many things in the sky, I cant just pick one. I see disappearing white lights that re appear ect. I open my window at night and my blinds up so I can see them. I usually lie in bed looking out my window and sometimes I see things every night for months and some times nothing for months. but that's probably coz I'long waysishm asleep. at first I was Description:sometimes I see a little red flashing light, it is sometimes going in a straight path upwards, meaning it probably landed and is taking off. I also see it sometimes to all around the place, like its crazy. sometimes I see it just going sideways flying like a helicopter. I have also seen a white light that is moving at normal speed but then slowly its lights getting dimmer and it gets smaller then it vanishes. it also might come back. I have also seen a slightly long way- sish object which appears to have a yellow light, then red then yellow light and they flash one at a time. Sometimes I will see a bright light just staying still while two red flashing lights will go near it, it seems as if the 2 red ones are waiting for the other light to fly away and when it does the 2 red ones go where the other light was. its strange but im just saying what I saw. The very first time I saw something was last year, remember how the moon was near 2 planets or stars? to make a face in the sky? well it was that night at 9 30 I walked out side and looked over and saw a big bright light going super fast downwards on a diagonal route. also with one of the planets in the sky or stars, not sure what they were, I saw a helicopter
There was one weird time when at after looking at some lights, I was sleeping and actually having a dream. I heard a huge bang, I immediately awoke because I though my tv had fallen off the bed side table, but I only saw some of my magazines a about a meter away on the floor. even my mum heard the bang. Received on 25/10/2009 18:58:27 25.10.09 MT BARKER (QLD) 16:00 hrs Observation: I was on a plane ride home from sydney at gold coast air port when I saw a disc shape craft, we were lower than it for we were landing it was not moving, at a fair height not far out at sea probably in line with the shore. it was shiny/glowing red, it look as if it was on fire when I first saw it I was amazed. then all of a sudden it shot off at tremendous speed, I couldn't see it anymore and it left a small round base then straight line con-trail that faded quickly. Description: being stationary then reaching the speed it was going was amazing - Location: landing at gold coast airport the craft was directly east of there. - Other Witnesses: only I saw it that I know of there were a lot of people on the plane but I didn't ask anyone else I tried to get my mum to see it (sitting next to me) but the height it was at made the angle for her to hard I was on the window seat and she wasn't that interested. 09.10.09 PORTFAIRY (VIC) 01:00 hrs Observation: looking right, of the moon overlooking the ocean I noticed a flashing light and I thought it was a star , but the light started to rapidly flash to a neon green and blue and red with a white top, as I watched it I noticed it was in a triangular shape and thought it still was a star but as I looked around all the other stars had not done this and this was moving very very slow, I thought it might be a plane so I went inside and fed my baby and come outside again , noticing it was still their mechanical flashing these 3 colors then as I was about to go inside I looked 1 last time and it started to move very quick then shot across the sky faster than a plane and stopped , then shot down so fast into the ocean.. oh my god that was no star... Description: 3 lights white on top and green blue and red flashing rapidly but in order under it. Sudden movement strait across with a major stop then very fast into the ocean, no sounds it was to far away Location: portfairy victoria looking over the ocean towards Warrnambool way - Apparent Size: Tennis Ball - Actual Size: size of a small truck - Altitude: within helicopter/ plane hight that they fly, maybe lower - Object Origin: directly across from the moon then moving if the moon was 12 o'clock and the thing at 6 o'clock. then moved to 3 O'clock then 1 O'clock then back to 4 O'clock then stopped and thats when it went down. - Object Destination: the ocean Moon Visible: a very clear night , moon is visible so was the object. - Planets Visible: yes a clear night - Weather Visibility: Clear, Cold, Calm - Viewing Aids: by eye. - Other Experiences: in the 90's when I lived at mt eliza where heaps of people reported 5 lights at new years I was watching them of my balcony.
03.10.09 HAMPTON PARK (VIC) 10:30 hrs Observation: Outside seated enjoying the bright night moon was high and full clouds very visible, sighted 1 unusually bright orange light traveling fast with (NO SOUND) looked like a bright lit match moving across the sky. At this time I saw several others following behind finishing with 2 at the end to our count (daughter) totalled : 11 objects. Called fiancee ex-Air Defence Bombardier to immediately look outside he could not register as per his training to identify what type of aircraft. Immediately contacted RAAF as direction wise SW was heading towards avalon. They inform they had no knowledge and directed me to you. Checked You Tube video footage: Newcastle (England) ** This is an exact account of what I witnessed ** As I search the web other accounts have occurred around the same time on a clear night and in the same formation. Other Witnesses: My daughter Lenaya and Rawiri reside with me and contact-able same number. - Actual Size: est. size of an medium private plane - Altitude: between 10-20 stories variables. - Object Origin: west - Object Destination: North north east - Moon Visible: Very full very bright with rings around it incident was over 1.5hrs ago checked moon now is almost at its highest. - Moon Size Comparison: quarter size smaller may even be smaller. - Planets Visible: stars visible through clouds, unsure of planets. Weather Visibility: Clear, Mild, Cloudy, Calm. Viewing Aids: Photographs- Effects Physical: Panic and heard screaming and a baby crying in the distant, unusual like the other videos posted on You tube almost exactly like the audio. Strangely leading up to the sighting an hour prior to, my toddler was very VERY unusually unsettled for the first time in time out in her cot, as soon as we saw the orange lights she went quiet and went straight to Effects Psychological: Anxiety and stress - Effects Other: Unsure if relevant young drunk hoons 7 doing donuts urinating and acting like typical outrageous teenagers shortly after sighting (reported to Police)maybe related to their account of Received on 3/10/2009 20:18:41 06.03.08 HOPPERS CROSSING (VIC) 18:00 hrs Observation: I was standing in my driveway waiting for my sister to come home from work when I looked up and saw a flying object shaped like a triangle flying slowly north west. This was about 6pm and it was still daylight. It was 100 meters above my head and it was a charcoal colour. There was no sound coming from this object. I was the only witness as far as I know. Description: There was no sound and it was flying quite slowly. It was the shape of a triangle. - Location: Heaths Road Hoppers Crossing (Golden Square Estate) - Apparent Size Other: Same as a commercial airliner Actual Size: Because it was so close it was the same size as a commercial airliner.
