Witness is looking for answers to what it was he saw. The effect was that there looked to be about 200 small red lights or dots on his window, every night for 5 nights in a row. He went outside to have a better look, and saw what appeared to be red laser lights coming out of the sky, and the dots were slowly rotating. There seemed to be nothing he could see where the lights were coming from which would explain the phenomena, so he went back inside. Number of Witnesses: 1. George Simpson AUFORN VIC

The observer reported that his attention was caught by the appearance at an elevation of near 45 degrees in the northeastern sky, of a very bright amber coloured fireball like light, about half the relative size of the moon. The light silently streaked across the partly cloudy sky above Melbourne's eastern suburbs, vanishing to the north after two seconds.

His first impression was that this could have been a shooting star, but upon further reflection, it seemed far too large and too bright for this to be the case. He also felt that it remained in the sky for far too long to be a shooting star.

On a cold dark morning, while driving down hill from an elevated position, the observer was startled when a bright luminous object, about the size of a fifty cent coin at arm's length, entered his field of vision from the right, southwest of the observer, at an elevation of about five degrees above the horizon, moving above suburban rooftops toward Mt Dandenong to the southeast.

The object, estimated to be two to three kilometres distant, travelling at about 150 km/h, was described as appearing as a bright blue ring, encompassing a bright pink kidney shaped object. Both objects were rotating anti-clockwise, and a blue trail was being left from the bottom of the ring.

Blue Ring and Pink Kidney Objects:
The ring object appeared somewhat like the end of an almost empty roll of bright blue paper might appear when unrolled along a floor. After two to three seconds, the observer could no longer see the ring object as it was obscured by the nearby tree line.

Margaret and two friends were driving from Healesville to Yarra Glen when, in the east, they saw a circular looking clear object, which was opaque or misty grey in the centre but with a very bright green outside edge. The object was moving very fast. They described it as “looking like the back of an exhaust, but going along like a wheel in the sky”. They thought it was going to ‘crash’ in Yarra Glen. It was coming down at a steep angle.

This sighting was discussed on a Sunday morning radio program on 3MMM at about 7 am, (Michelle and Des) and another person called Chantelle phoned in from Croydon, describing the same thing.

Comment. This time, date and description was also reported by Les of Mooroolbark. He also described it as a wheel, in that its orientation of travel was the same as a bicycle wheel but up in the air. He sent us a sketch of the object. George Simpson AUFORN VIC

For ten minutes, Marshall watched an orange light which moved slowly at a constant speed against the prevailing wind. It made no sound and appeared to be at about 500 to 1000 feet high. It was travelling north to about twenty kilometres away. The sky was clear and there were no clouds. George Simpson AUFORN VIC

"The time was about 4pm. We were at Victoria Harbour looking back to the city .We had our car parked in the carpark opposite the harbour (Melway map 2E G3), looking back around the city. We had gone down to see the HMAS Ballarat but the queue was so long we did a tram tour instead and came back to pick up the car, took a few snaps of the sky line and the boat, and then came home to up-load the images to the computer....and there it was.

In fact there are two, one to the left of the centre building ie. (11o'clock) and on downward to the right around (4 o'clock). I still think they are helicopters but my husband and son think they are UFO's." Robert Frola AUFORN

The reporting observer indicates that on Monday night she was sitting in her lounge room when she heard her dog scratching at the back door. She went out to see why and noticed that her son and his two mates were also outside. It was between 06.30 p.m. and 07.00 p.m., and her dog was going berserk because two boys over her back fence were letting off firecrackers. The four of them went down the backyard and she looked over the back fence to see if she could see the boys, but they were hiding in long grass.

As they walked back to the house, they talked and looked around in the sky. The night was slightly misty, and while looking due north, she noticed a small white star-like object fly in from the northeast. It took up a stationary position above the fence-line, and she pointed it out to the others. As they watched, it changed colour from white to pink and back to white again, and kept changing like this for as long as they watched.

On this occasion, the object appeared to the left of the Shelly Refinery, while on all previous occasions, the objects had appeared to the right of the Refinery. They watched the object for about five minutes as it continued to hover in its stationary position, and cycled through its white and pink colour changes. They then retired to bed.

She also reports that she arose at 04.00 a.m., and heard a beeping sound in her right ear. When she returned to bed, she wished the beeping would go away, and eventually managed to fall asleep - re-awaking at 07.00 a.m. with the beeping still in her ear. When she arose for the day, the beeping ceased. While she has been experiencing five to ten minute occurrences of beeping in ear for quite some time, the latest one was the longest to date.
