On Monday the 1st March at around 3pm the reportee was leaving his homestead when he noticed an object moving down the gully in the air. At the top of the gully there are communication towers and at the bottom there is flat ground and a small dam on the property. The reportee states it was a clear day and there was virtually no wind. The object was only a couple of hundred metres away from the reportee and it came to a dead stop for about 10-15 seconds at the bottom of the gully, 30-40 metres off the ground. The reportee states that the object had dark red and orange lights that were pulsating. After around 10-15 seconds it cruised off, moving off in northerly direction over the top of the mountains and then changed direction again travelling North-West.

Later on the reportee rang the Bureau of Meteriology since he has found a crashed weather balloon before, but they had nothing in the area during that time and the description did not fit. The shape of the object was difficult to determine, he thought at first it may have been an ultra-light, but soon discarded that theory due to the orange and red pulsating light display. His property is 10 km away from Cowra. Karen Barden AUFORN NSW

On a warm, dry night with no wind and light cloud, the reporting observer and seven others, who were standing on an outside deck, were alerted to the presence of something unusual by two bright flashes of light that illuminated the surrounding yard. As they looked directly upward, their attention was drawn to three circular flame-orange lights, each appearing larger than the full moon, moving in a triangular formation.

The reporting observer was startled and excited by these surprising events. While the initial feeling was that the three large lights might have been part of one huge object, the appearance of cloud between the lights, and the lack of an outlined shape, convinced the observers that there were in fact three individual objects flying silently in formation.

As the lights proceeded northward across the rural valley, toward the hilly horizon, they became partially obscured by a nearby deciduous tree. At this point in time, the observers moved to get a better view of the receding lights. Due to the large distance to the lights, the lights no longer appeared as three individual lights, but were appearing as a single light.

Shortly after this even, the light appeared to become stationary and then dropped two small orange lights toward the ground, one at a time, and the observers waiting expectantly for an associated explosion, to no avail. After about five to seven minutes of observation, the light appeared to proceed northward into distant cloud and was no longer visible.

Jacquie was driving along the Warneet Road heading home after visiting her sister with her children. This is a trip they regularly make, and so they are familiar with the terrain and the area. On this night they saw an unusual object that had lights all around it and one light in the middle. At first they saw it rise from a paddock and begin to follow their car. Then there was a series of about 5 bright blue flashes that lit up the area like daytime, and the car engine cut out as the object passed overhead. Jacquie pointed out that her car is kept in top condition and never does this type of thing. When they got home they noticed the time had changed, they had taken an extra half an hour to thirty five minutes longer to get home than was normal. They are sure of this because they visit Jacquie’s sister on a weekly basis.

They also became aware that each of them was feeling ill for the next few days, whereas they were all fine before they started the trip home. George Simpson AUFORN VIC

The excited observer reports on the activities of three intensely glowing orange lights, each of which was smaller than a coin held at arm's length. These events occurred within a twenty minute time window, and the lights were observed at an elevation of about thirty degrees. The observer believes that the orange lights were located between Berwick and Dandenong Mountain.

Initially, on a moderate night with a mild breeze and light cloud cover, the observer's attention was caught by the strange bright orange glow of two of the lights. The observer reports that the two lights were moving from the east toward west. They then stopped for a moment and one proceeded northwest into the clouds while the other continued westward, eventually being obscured by clouds.

About ten minutes later, the third orange light was observed moving from the east to the west, following the path of the second light into the clouds.

On the 12th March at Maraylya, NSW at around 9 pm, the reportee had noticed a light in the distance, along with a few other people at a social event. She did not think anything much about it and thought it was probably someone in the distance using a spotlight. She left the event at around 10:30 pm to return home. As she was driving home to Maroota she noticed a large bright light and in the centre a dark circle. The reportee states that the object ended up at about 50 metres above her car and was at least half the size of her own car i.e Hyundai Excel. Apparently a elongated beam was coming out from the object towards the ground, however the beam itself did not seem to be eluminating her car. After around 15 minutes or so, the object starting darting about, darting across backwards and forwards and looked graceful when performing these manoeuvrers. The reportee was driving slower than usual during this event, since she was watching the object through the front window and had strain to look high up to see it. Once she had arrived at Maroota, the object continued its journey. The total drive home took around 30 minutes.

The reportee later rang the RAAF who stated they had nothing in the area, but told her they had received a number of calls about the same phenomina. Calls came from Maraylya, Pitt Town and Catai. Karen Barden AUFORN NSW

The observer reported seeing a round yellow/white light, with a diameter of about half that of the moon, move silently across the fine still night sky, from the east to the west, within approximately ten seconds. He also reported feeling confused by the appearance of this phenomenon, especially as it did not appear to be like any aircraft he had previously seen.

16.03.04 REIDS LOOKOUT - GRAMPIANS, VIC 2300hrs (NL)
(Source: Source The Australian U.F.O. Bulletin June 2004)
On a cold evening, with moderate to strong wind, and heavy cloud cover over Reids Lookout, the observer calmly assembled her telescope with associated colour video camera, at the foot of the fire observation tower, and commenced recording the activities of lights located about three to five kilometres northwest of the lookout, in and around the Wartook Valley.

The observer reports that this sighting is one of an ongoing observation with video record of suspected anomalous aerial luminous objects in and over the Wartook Valley. On this particular night, two luminous objects, estimated to be about three to five kilometres distant, were seen in a north-westerly direction in the vicinity of the Wartook Valley. It was noted that one of these lights was seen as being relatively "large", while the other was seen as being relatively "small", and they were showing suspicious or defensive aerial movement.

Unfortunately, only the relatively stationary views of the activities of these lights were recorded by the video camera. One, the larger light did "blink-out", and this type of behaviour has been observed on a few previous occasions. The observer suspects that this is not just a light-sourcing object moving behind some obscuring obstruction.

During the viewing and recording session, and once again not recorded on videotape, two other anomalous lights moved behind the observer and took up a stationary position. From this position, one of the light sources emitted high intensity pulses or flashes of light. Prior to this activity, the lights were observed slightly above the crests and peaks of the Victoria Valley.

Also, it has been observed on many other occasions that a single moving light takes up a position partially obscured by a tree, until the telescope and camera are retired from use. At this time, the light then extinguishes itself or "blinks-out". The telescope could not be used to record this behaviour due to interference by protective Cyclone wire fencing between the observer and the light.

The four to six lights observed during this sighting ranged in colour from white, golden white, red, orange, blue and yellow-green.

About 9.30pm on Wedensday March 17th Robert was outside with his wife and brother-in-law at Kemps Creek. He told me that they were disturbed to see a bright orange coloured light in the sky. Robert said ‘It was so damned bright, it wasn’t an airplane, we wondered what it was so I went and got my binoculars.” When he viewed it through his binoculars, he could see it was a round ball of yellowish light, like a fire, with red dots of light around the outside, like jets.

They were disturbed because of all the terrorist trouble at the moment, they thought at first it could have been a rocket missile of some sort. When they first saw it, it was as big as a 50 cent coin held at arms length, they watched it for approximately 3 minutes until they couldnt see it anymore. While they were watching it an aircraft crossed the sky. Robert said compared to the aircraft this thing was huge, much higher in altitude, about 70 degrees above the horizon and much bigger. It was travelling north to south very fast and still took about 3 minutes to disappear.

After I interviewed Robert I spoke again to Kellie about her sighting on the Thursday March 18th. Apparently Kellie first tried to photograph the object with a digital camera. Through the view finder she could see the moon and the stars but could not pick up the object, even though she could still see it with the naked eye. She then changed cameras and snapped it with an old camera. By this time it was a dot in the sky but she could see it in the view finder and zoomed it in. Larraine Cilia UFOSWS

Robert was using his telescope in the backyard. He thought he was seeing a star in the East, but it was moving. It went across the sky, sped North , stopped, went East again then shot straight up! It was a bright white light. Robert was using an 8? Newtonian scope on an equatorial mount.

It goes without saying that aircraft, satellites or even meteors do not exhibit these unusual movements. George Simpson AUFORN VIC

On the 30th of March 2004 at 7:05 pm I was coming out of the public library branch in Mooroolbark, and as I looked across the road to a double storey group of units I noticed in the sky behind them what looked like a blob of white light in the western night sky. Upon seeing this I stopped and look at it for about a minute. It’s plasma like quality flickered and grew in size as I watched it. I then decided to walk on, my back being to the light. I stopped again a few seconds later and looked back and it was still in the same position and at about the same intensity of light. I walked on a few seconds more and stopped at an intersection. I continued looking at the object, which did not appear to move at all, beyond it’s fluctuations. At one point the light stretched out and flattened out to form an elongated strip of light, curved at each end (a profile of a disk?....). Throughout the sighting I tried some telepathy in case this object or luminence was of the non-worldly variety, and it seemed to repond to a point: from my Ob. Pt. it do not move across the sky (I am not sure if this increase/decrease in brightness was movement towards or from me, or just “radiation”); when I suggested that I would report my sighting, at the same moment the light reduced to a small white dot.

My observation lasted five minutes, after which I decided to continue home. I didn’t see the object again. There were clouds in the sky, but they didn’t seem to obscure the object, and stars were clearly visible in swathes of night sky. The moon was clearly visible to the north, and large clouds were obscuring it gradually, with other cloud masses seen to the west. Between 8 pm and 8:30 pm I rang Mooroolbark police station to enquire if the police helicopter had been in the area. I asked the officer who picked up the phone ?Was the police helicopter in the Croydon/Mooroolbark area around 7 pm??, and he responded that based on the fact they had heard nothing on the police radio the helicopter had not been in that area.
